The sheriff accepted that Dundee United FC had acted liked greedy kantes by giving a value of zero to the ticket stub for a game that did not complete, did not count for the league table, and that had to be replayed in full with another ticket purchased.

the court has also found that the club had taken all greed factors into account and acted shamelessly in dealing with the ticket arrangements for the rearranged game

Esc, remind me how successful that argument was in court?

Because the group you've quoted took that argument to court.

Did they win?

A moral victory yes

What do you know about morals, ya low-down spineless bet-dodging weaselbasturt that ye are.

Too fckin right I'm not. I like Escy and this site is better with him than without him. But that doesn't stop him being a low down spineless bet-dodging weaselbasturt.

Why does anything have to change? Surely to God the only common sense way is that, at the end of the season, the top 6 will have played each other twice at home and twice away. If one team has already had the advantage of having played the bottom 6 twice at home and once away, thus making qualification for the top 6 much easier, then hell mend them if they have to play all their remaining fixtures away.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because you also have to factor in that all teams should play 19 home ad 19 away over the season
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hmmmm, I get that but it just doesn't feel right.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well it hasn’t felt right for years then
Every team has had both advantage or disadvantage with it over years

Occasionally teams get 18 home or 20 home games.

But it's been this way for years with the split so can't get too upset at it.

I’d rather play an even amount of games at all away grounds like everyone else

The idea of a split is good but the way it is it will always go in one teams favour when a close run in is happening

Unless you want a 10 team league it doesn’t work

As it stands a team will have had Motherwell away twice but Hamilton once

So not perfect but as good as a wee part of the UK can muster

Wasn’t aware that happened
Guess it must have been impossible to avoid

Yeah with league numbers as they are it’s difficult to do

Play all teams twice is 22 games
Play top half home and away is 10 games

This would lose 4 leagues a season

Think I'd prefer a 14 team league. Home and away with everybody twice, then home and away with the top 7/ bottom 7. Still ends up with 38 games, with no need to ever flip games to suit, but no doubt the diddy teams would squeal at that.

Only flaw is that one team wouldn't have a game each week after the split, but hey, I reckon that's better than the debate to follow in the next few weeks.

I suggested this a couple of years ago.
Don't see a problem with 1 team getting a bye week every week.
