Jeezramdini, at least get the opposition right.

Keogh played well? Just coincidental then that both goals were scored practically unchallenged in his area to defend.

I can't wait til my cataracts come in if this is the kind of unbridled joy one can extract from a crap player.

I agreed Lawrence was comfortably our best player today. I think playing three at the back might suit a lot of our players but to be effective we need to find a couple of wing backs and a dynamic centre forward. Vydra’s body language was not great today for me, his Derby career may be coming to an end.

Traore was the difference. We were terrified of him. Considering we had both Forsyth and Olsson on the pitch he should not have been so effective. I don’t think either picked up a booking. By contrast Pulis got his players to clog Vydra a bit and he lost interest. Assombolonga always looked vaguely threatening in a way that Nugent does not.

I thought the effort was good and maybe some signs of hope for a way of playing next season. For Tuesday I would start Palmer for Johnson and Jerome for Nugent. Maybe Weimann for Olsson. I thought Keogh had a good game today and if you are playing three at the back you need one of them to bring the ball forward from time to time which Keogh can do.

If you're playing three at the back then you can't have one of them switching off and wandering about when we're without the ball. Watch Keogh again, see where he is when the goals are scored in the bit he should be defending and then tell.me again how we need him in a three, or at all.

Can't agree with some of the content of your report Ramdini.
Keogh makes me nervous and was nowhere for either of their goals, still the fans chant Keogh, Keogh, Keogh like he's some sort of hero. Lawrence had a good second half, but that's it. He put in some effort. I thought Johnson had a decent game. We needed a strong midfielder and a bit more luck with his early effort and who knows what may have happened.
Weimann is a waste of time.
Forsyth had a nightmare.
I thought Wisdom had a decent game. He was our only threat down the right and he put in some decent crosses.
Vydra won't be playing for us next season.
Huddlestone was off today. Davies was excellent. Hanson? Not the answer.
Great noise from the fans.
Referee inept.
Pullis - Git.

Vidal. Always look first at the contributor. If it involves 3 numbers. Don't bother to read it.

I didn’t think we deserved anything from the game - creating, as ever, very few chances. Palmer changed the game, briefly.

They played like I would dearly like us to: their power and pace ripping us apart, we seriously couldn’t handle them.

By contrast we are old, lightweight, and slow. A marked contrast of where we need to be.

Assombalonga looked like he was playing in a testimonial when he scored. Where were our defenders?

What changes are needed for Tuesday?
Palmer has to start for me. Don’t want to see a back 5 and 2 holding midfielders

Griff, I think our team is past the "tweaking" stage, we need a clear-out. I understand GR can't throw caution to the wind whilst there is still chance of a PO place, but he needs to something drastic.

Forsyth against Traore was just embarrassing.

I simply do not understand why Palmer doesn't start. He shows a lot of desire - hiding under cover of his trying too hard - just to get Gary to notice him. We are missing Hendrick, Hughes and Bryson. We need more creativity - Palmer could just have it - and if he had enjoyed himself at Derby he might have joined us.

3R, if you want to see how far we have fallen, have a look at Sunderland's form since they put four past us:

P 9, W 0, D 4, L5, GF 7, GA 16

I really can't see him starting Palmer - even though virtually EVERY fan would like to see it. It would be like an admission that he's been wrong.

Ultimately GR is too defensive and averse to 'risk' or, it seems an entertaining brand of football. Sadly.

Baz, I had high hopes for GR (but then again I had high hopes for Pearson)!

It's hard to know how much control he's had over transfers as well.

I was working with a couple of Blue Noses last week and they both said the football at Brum wasn't up to much when he was there, but I suppose they would say that now.

I understand why there is confusion. From kick-off it looked like we were playing 4-4-1-1, with Keogh at RB and Huddz alongside Davies at CB. Maybe that reflected the payers lack of confidence with three at the back? Maybe it reflects Huddz is too immobile nowadays, and just couldn’t summon the energy to get back into midfield after a Boro attack had been repelled? Only Gary will know what the instruction was, and he didn’t say.

After we’d gone behind it was more clearly a 3-5-2, but it’s hard to know if that was a tactical change, or what we should have been doing from the start.

In terms of individual performances I think you’re a little harsh on Wisdom who gave an unfamiliar position a good go (compare to Olsen trying and failing to do the same on the other flank), and considerably too kind to Forsythe, who never got to grips with Traore all game, but in the last 20 minutes seemed to suffer to kind of mental disintegration, and spent this period sliding in on his backside despairingly flailing his legs at the place Traore had been standing a second-and a half before. Add to that when he was given the ball he just kicked it to their keeper, even thought there wasn’t a Derby player within 30 yards. It was just bizarre. I’ve always been one that thought Fozzie got unfairly criticised from time to time by some of us… but yesterday he was truly shocking.

I would have given MOTM to Davies, but agree Lawrence was the only other contender.

My question is are there any circumstances – ever – in which Gary will consider starting Palmer and Vydra at the same time? Perhaps if we carried a bit more attacking threat our aging defensive legs would be able to catch an odd breather during the game and actually last the 90 minutes instead of needing substitution after 70? Really, what have we got to lose?

There is no doubt we are playing relegation football. GR must sort it. Mel, do not sack Gary. Let him do what Non-league Nigel did and I hope he is successful.

I want Wassall. There. Said it. Again. GR is ineffective, and boring.
