Interesting that he's supposedly appearing in Thunderbolts. I expect them to incorporate the Void in there somewhere too.

Sentry and red hulk alone are enough to get me interested. It seems like a mini avengers type of movie, which is exactly what the mcu needs at the moment.

Yeah, hopefully it delivers
He'll be nerfed and struggle with dealing with people like Hawkgirl
The problem with the whole multiverse saga, at least in my opinion, is that there are too many things happening at once, but nothing happening at the same time.
The first show that really delved into the multiverse was Loki (which I really enjoyed and can’t wait for season 2). But the cliffhanger ending with Kang (or one of his variants) being the new publicly recognised ruler of the TVA hasn’t had the impact on the MCU that I thought it would.
I think the next big MCU release after Loki was No Way Home, which was also centered around the multiverse, but it was only because of a botched spell, nothing to do with what happened in Loki. Multiverse of Sadness, nothing to do Loki, just Wanda losing her mind and having her own character arc off screen.
And now Ant Man 3, with Kang in the Quantum Realm all this time? It doesn’t make sense, how has he been there all this time when Loki/Sylvie’s actions all took place after the Infinity Saga? Was it not them that set the Kang variants free by killing He Who Remains? How could the Kang variants banish him to the Quantum Realm when they didn’t exist?
Watching how Loki ended, I expected serious consequences for the MCU but there has been none at all, the multiversal mishaps that have happened in NWH, Multiverse of Sadness and Antman 3 have nothing to do with Loki at all, it’s just all these characters all coincidentally interacting with the multiverse at the same time (when there were no hints of any multiversal interactions at all during the infinity saga) that just makes it all seem a bit silly and difficult to get invested in.
Loki is in a different universe to the characters you mentioned.
That's 2014 Loki that escaped in Endgame
I think MoM and NWH were made to provide some insight to what a multiverse will be like but using the heroes.
I haven't watched Ant Man yet but if I'm not mistaken, the Kang we're introduced to is the warrior variant...who could've been imprisoned in the quantum realm by the Citadels of Kangs because of how dangerous he is to the multiverse
It’s a different character but it doesn’t really matter because the TVA is ‘outside time’ so could basically be set 100 billion years ago if it suits the plot.
We are led to believe that because of what happened in Loki, Kang and his variants are now running wild in the MCU, and that’s fine, I get all that. But why is it only happening now? Surely they would have had some impact on history that would affect the MCU today? All the Kangs are time travellers after all? It’s just all way too convenient that only now after centuries in hiding they are deciding to show up and have some sort of impact.
You thinking too deep about it. The reason why it's happening now is because that's the story nothing more nothing less
Don't take everything too literal...you'll never enjoy comic book stuff with that sort of mentality or expecting that sort of reasoning or explanation to the story
The other gripe I have with Phase 4 is the complete lack of consequences for any of the shows.
Multiverse of Sadness - Wanda ‘dies’. We all know she’s not dead and will another character arc off screen and eventually come back a completely different person.
Ant Man 3 - Kang ‘dies’, again we all know he’s going to come back bigger and badder than ever after escaping from the Quantum Realm off screen.
Thor 4 - Jane Foster dies…who cares? She had cancer and was going to die anyway.
Shang Chi, Eternals, Wakanda Forever - not terrible movies but what relevance do they have to the Multiversal saga? What has changed off the back of these movies?
The only movie with any consequences was No Way Home with Spiderman getting a much needed character reset, and it’s no coincidence that it was the best Phase 4 release by a landslide.

It’s not that I don’t enjoy them. I really enjoyed Ant Man 3 and No Way Home (Multiverse of Sadness was diabolical though). It’s just clear that MCU has lost its magic and there are just too many plot holes to make sense of what’s going on anymore.
Do you know the MCU only really thought about Thanos and having him as an overarching villain with the infinity stones in phase 2
Even though now we accept that Thanos was behind Loki's invasion of Earth, it wasn't originally written like that...that part came later in just to tie in Thanos and increase his influence
What are DC doing?
So what’s this rumour aboot Ben Affleck directing Batman: The Brave and Bold?!
Pun?!! Get on it san.. saying that, it is John Campea flapping his gums again, so pinch of salt and all that

Yes I saw that rumour, what's wrong with that?
It sounded like he'd direct a DCU movie when the DCU was announced, he's a good director and would be a solid choice imo. I don't see the issue?
Didn’t realise String was Canadian.
