Morning Mr Fam,
Mission Impossible: Final Reckoning. 6/10

Tom dropped the ball on this one…. 2hr 49mins of meh.
So while M:I 2 is the worst of the franchise.
For me, this one comes in at number 7…easily,
I believe they did everything wrong and forgot aboot what made the franchise work well.
This is just a montage of ‘hey remember this, remember that’
I think by tomorrow I might get vex aboot it.


Oh yeh, the Mission, should you choose to accept is to it go see this film. Had no reason to be nearly 3hrs long.
However, if you do see this movie, disavow mans and release the Spoiler.

Well that’s the beauty of film, different strokes for different folks fam.
Be interesting to see where they rank it out of the 8 films.
And if the consensus is aboot 7 out of 8. Then I need that explaining to me, without me laughing.
For me, this just doesn’t work. Yes Cruise still brings it. The Sub and Plane scenes are pretty cool.
Some good actors in this film.

You crossed a line. You see at least with Jedi the set up was complete, all Jedi needed to do was wrap it up. And people say it was too simple and straightforward.
Maybe so, but it did just that, and brought it home in an epic manner.

Now here, the same situation, we have the ‘last’ Mission Impossible movie.
A pretty solid franchise.
And it went right up its own jacksie! The film had already been set up… this isn’t how you conclude.

Ok Ewoks aside, ROTJ is excellent.

I prefer Revenge of the Sith over Return of the Jedi

I’m with you that… has been a quality franchise.
If they cut the first hour out. And re wrote a few scenes, it would be another fine entry.
The strange decisions made, for me, wrecked the film where I can’t just gloss over it.
Something is up with this film. An investigation needed.
I think Covid defo hurt their original plans.

I mean I thinking right now aboot a small plot point that occurs, and for me, it works. I had a little wry smile with that scene, and now I’m thinking, why the hell wasn’t this a major plot.
Fook yer current boring story, they could’ve gone down a different route.

Blarmy knows

Sith is excellent and I've always loved that movie since watching it in the cinema. But Jedi trumps it for me as it's OG trilogy. And Ewoks aside it's still a brilliant Star Wars movie.

Purely in there as a merchandise line. Easily the worst of the originals because of them

Ok so… I reckon it’s a close call.
Sith is a really good movie, with many memorable moments. But for me Jedi just nicks it.
The triple threat match perfectly executed. That end battles has yet to be topped, and I don’t think it ever will.

And the cherry on top, they created an original song that’s become a classic. Yes ‘Yub Nub’….
It’s a banger.
