It sets up Season 4 well but too many people made out of character decisions and we didn’t get a pay off for the build up of the previous 7 episodes.
Ffs!! Why Pun?
Right then, Thor 4. 6/10. Meh.
I mean there’s a story there, but how am I the viewer meant to feel about what I’m watching,
Stuff happens. Everyone’s goofy. Then they ain’t, then they goofy again. Where we going with all this. I don’t think they got the balance right at all.
Bale is the best thing in it. But, his name is God the Butcher, the only butcher I saw was the Editor.
You cast a stellar talent like Bale and waste him.
Something is wrong there.
Did Kath Kennedy take over as Exec Producer.
It’s just alright, but kinda all over the place with it.
Phase 4 can Fack off!
I walked before Post Credits, cos I didn’t care.

WHATEVER!!
Gorr Thor Fack it!!
Wdym everyone is goofy. It’s only Thor and Korg that act ‘goofy’. Valkyrie, Jane, Gorr, and even all the Guardians probably have one joke between them in the whole movie.
You got to be joking?!
Gorr is the only one that’s serious. What I’m saying is the film felt unbalanced, as a result I couldn’t get invested in the stakes, cos every 2 seconds everybody is quipping.
I found it odd, with what was at play here. But I’m not saying the film is trash.
Maybe a couple of beers and a rewatch, taking it for what it is, I might lighten up on it, after all it is a comic book film. But I don’t think this film has rewatchable value to it. Not bothered if I never see it again.
I think Taika needed reigning in a bit.
This was always the direction that Thor was going to go in. Hemsworth loves playing a comedic character and Taika does comedy well, so they have to keep upping the funny or at least the attempts at humour.
I enjoyed The Boys finale. Do take the points made on board though.
FYI anyone who hasn't watched it before Monday will be banned.
Agreed, Hemsworth does have good comedy chops. He’s comfortable playing Thor any way they want.
He was a riot in Ragnarok.
The comedy in here feels forced a lot of the time.
It’s not really on Hemsworth, it’s everyone around him he’s playing off.
Hemsworth isn't the sole reason but he's a factor. After Thor 3, he was ready to walk away from the MCU but they got him to resign because Taika came in and wanted to make him a comedic character. Hemsworth has said as much.

Disagree, I can think of several jokes they were involved in, and Valkyrie/Jane had one of the cringiest, meh, jokes in the film.
Look forward to being able to discuss with spoilers, interesting that Stringer pretty much echoed my thoughts, a poor film massively lifted by Gorr, who is brilliant, and deserved better.
The himbo thing has just gone way too far for me.

Interesting, I often find myself having similar tastes to him, albeit I'm more into superhero stuff than he is.
And on the whole with the MCU.
Everybody was invested cos every film was building towards something. But this Phase 4 lark, I mean, people talking about Superhero fatigue, maybe it might’ve hit them at Marvel/Disney.
I’m sure, there will be a payoff eventually, and people wil say, ‘ah, that’s cos of Love & Thunder’, and I think slightly dialled down, it may of worked better.
It’s never gonna get funnier than Ragnarok.
And The effects are really poor in places. You’ve had the longest time to render them better. Quite shocking really. And the Music/soundtrack… jeez!!
It’s like they are not really trying anymore.

Based on the reviews I've watched, there seems to be a polarisation on Gorrs performance. Some have said he saved the movie and others are saying he was terrible.
Ha! I still haven’t checked to see what the Post Credits were… don’t care.
I think we getting close to that territory people… yup!
I’m calling it.. “It’s Thorbin Time’
Did they have any female empowerment scenes in the movie?

Oh You talking Woke stuff?
Actually, when I think about it… nothing really stands out, that makes you roll your eyeballs in that sense.
Just the cringe jokes/quips.
Um..nah, not really. Wow, that didn’t even really register, when watching the film. I guess, that’s what makes the film passable, Well, I mean, Valkyrie is a King in title now. So there’s that, whatever that means.
I might’ve missed something, that others noticed, but I’d say no, not really.

Well that's something. I did fear Valkryie and Jane would team up and bully Thor.
Did they at least do the Gods justice? This is the first time Zeus is making an appearance, so I am curious to see how they handled them.
