Guv, yeah I agree with that. As much as I prefer Marvel, I’m still a big fan of DC and there’s no doubt that we’d all enjoy have both franchises producing quality entertainment.

I’m actually looking forward to the next Dr. Strange film the most. But yeah they need X-Men and F4 as they’ve lost too many iconic characters to compete with what DC will be able to produce.

DC's slate definitely looks more exciting overall than Marvel's at the moment. Some redemption for Green Lantern would be nice at some point too. One of the few things I enjoyed in JL was their brief cameo.

Agree Marvel need the F4 and X-Men in there. Hyped for the MCU Blade too. It's a long way off but hopefully will be a hit when it eventually gets made.

Yeah nothing that appealing really. I suppose you could say that the MCU really brightened Iron Man’s star, but I think a lot to do with that was the timing. Difficult to achieve something similar once you’ve gone through three phases and have competition from a DC universe with the icons they have.

You’d think with a name like Multiverse of Madness will open things up for F4 and maybe X-Men to be introduced.

2021 looks great for DC, and interesting for Marvel.

With its appeal to all ages it’s hard to see it dying any time soon.

The Western genre for popular for a very long time. We’ve not quite reached that level of longevity with superhero movies, if ever.

Blade, Dr. Strange, Eternals and Guardians are probably the only phase 4 stuff that's remotely interesting.

Shang-Chi is just fan service for POC representation. Same with Thor and feminism. I don't have a problem with this but anyone that genuinely thinks Marvel really cares about equal representation in the world and not just doing this because that's where the money is, is probably more ignorant than me.

Glad to see people coming round to my way of thinking. I got pilloried on here a month or two ago for suggesting that the future of the MCU looks bland and that we've already seen the best of it. I was told X-Men and F4 were going to save it all apparently.

As I've been saying for a while now the future is way brighter for DC movies as well as the stuff we're getting on HBO Max which includes a Matt Reeves prequel series and Snyder's proper Justice League of course as well as whatever follows it.

Depends really as for me WW & Aquaman are meh films & SS is utter garbage even if it’s a soft reboot.

The Batman & Flash films are very much exciting as is the SCJL.

MCU is at a rebuild stage for the next big storyline but I’ll always be ready for a Spider-Man & black panther film. Plus intrigued to see how the Disney + shows pan out.

All in all there’s going to be some good and some bad on both sides.

tbf how bad the first ss was has no relation to the sequel bar 3 characters being in it, which makes sense anyway as its a team of randoms, james gunn is a good director

I'd like a actual solo spiderman film, not a marvel film personally, a spiderman that sorts his own problems out would be nice

Slightly OT but has anyone seen the trailer for the Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League game? Would make a great film imo
