Apologies, Admin, please link with Manchester United
His record speaks for itself and I hope he makes a speedy recovery 👍
Unlike so many in the modern game whilst hating how good he made United you have to respect him.
Hope he's alright!
God bless Sir Alex....son of Govan ....greatest ever ! Get well !
He laid a wreath quietly after Hillsboro- that's enough for me
He’s a battler as we all know to our cost. Get well soon Alex.
In a statement posted on the club website, they said: “The thoughts of everyone at Liverpool Football Club are with Sir Alex Ferguson and his family following the news that the former Manchester United manager is ill in hospital.
“A great rival but also a great friend who supported this club during its most difficult time, it is hoped that Sir Alex will make a full recovery.
“In the meantime, the club will offer its full support to Manchester United and also his family."
Hope he recovers, seems too early for this kind of thing...he’s only recently retired. A giant in the sports world and a gentleman by all accounts. I bet he gets 20 years of well deserved Fergie time!
Let’s hope he makes a full recovery from this setback.
I know rival fans are all rooting for him.
Wait... this is the Save Sam Allardyce thread isn’t it ?
Even as a Red there is no doubt about his stature in the game.
Hope he makes a full and swift recovery.
The early news is good, in terms of a successful operation. Hopefully he makes a full recovery. Absolutely stunned to hear the news, especially when we've all seen him in such good spirits beside Wenger less than a year ago. Sir Alex will always be a fighter though, so hoping he can win what is a big fight
Merry, it was just six days ago he was presenting Wenger’s award with Jose. My heart completely dropped when the news broke, my nan died from the same thing just last month.
The only experience I've ever had with that was when we were having our christmas tree light up in my local village when I was a kid. There was a wee girl joining in the celebrations with us and then suddenly she got a massive headache. By the time they got her to hospital, it was too late. She was only 8 or 9 years old and had been running about having fun literally a couple of hours earlier. It's frightening

running around -> blood pressure -> weak point in blood vessel in brain -> burst
Yeah I know. It's just scary, and how it's impossible to legislate for something like that regardless of age or health, let alone diagnose it, when time is so crucial.
It's absolutely mental. Really goes to show you shouldn't settle for anything less than enjoying your life as much as you can rather than constantly worrying about the future
Hopefully SAF pulls through, absolute legend

Why is this d!ckhead still allowed to comment on this site
In his defence, I think it was stupidly inappropriate, as opposed to malicious. Giving him the benefit of the doubt there

Have u seen other comments he has made about him?
No, I just took that comment, which wasn't great, on a stand alone basis. If he's made other comments of a similar ilk, then he should be ashamed of himself
