Postes DOH signed me before when I said Klopp but here he is in the CL final you damned halfwit.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And he hasn't won anything yet. And he's had more money to spend in that time. And has finished below us each season.
If he wins the CL then fair enough. They still might end up in 5th and trophyless for all we know.
Whoever we were to bring in, they are going to be limited at this club and under Levy, so it will be tough for them to achieve silverware.

Poch took us to the league cup final in his first season, and has constantly had Spurs finishing above Lpool. Let's see if Klopp can get over the line before we compare.
Klopp took us also to a league cup and european league final in his first season with the squad of Brendan Rodgers.
He has now his own players and will add more quality to the team.
Poch is a very good manager and if you get rid of him you will regret it.

Don't try to have a sensible football conversation with DJC, it's a wum account that purports to be a couple, and is constantly championing the Poch out Ancelotti/Klopp in line. Ought to be banned from this forum, just another trouble maker.

I think we need to step back and look at what we have now become under Poch from where we were in the 4 seasons he's been with us.
We were a top 6 team before he came in and flirted with top 4 on 2 occasions in the past 10 years, with only one of those giving us CL football.
His first season was a transitional season, shifting out the deadwood but finishing one place higher. He's since (fingers crossed) achieved 3 consecutive top 4 finishes, finishing 3rd and 2nd. When did we last get as high as those placings?
He's got us being generally hard to beat when we had a soft underbelly and were thrashed often by the bigger teams. Unbeaten in a whole league campaign at home. When did that last happen?
Although, we haven't quite bridged that gap to winning some silverware he's got us closer than ever to winning something meaningful in a long while.
Has he been a success? Hell, yes. Why get rid of him now?
If Poch had the same favour from referees that Klopp and Mourinho enjoy, he would have won trophies by now
Afternoon Don, Poch`s position would be untenable if Spurs feck up top four.

The sad thing is, nobody would be surprised if we throw away the top 4, it`s the Spurs way.
I think we will be ok, we will beat Newcastle which should be enough. Hopefully Chelsea drop points today or we could be sweating though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Newcastle are one of our bogey teams, the amount of times I have seen us contrive to lose to them doesn't bear thinking about. Also Rafa will have them well organised, they could one of a growing number of teams who just put 10 men behind the ball against us knowing we have no idea of how to deal with it.
I also fear Vardy on the last day of the season, he loves being the pantomime villian, and am sure would relish rubbing our noses in it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Absolutely nailed on a Vardy winner in the last game. Let`s hope it doesn`t go that far.

I agree. Poch should fall on his sword should that happen, 10 point gap with 6 left with very winnable games would be biggest bottle job ever. Poch is an honourable man and I think he would walk
10 minutes for Liverpool to save our sorry backsides.
Didn`t Spurs and Poch take like just 2 points from 12 in their last four matches a couple of seasons back. Poch has form for capitulating. To be perfectly honest the same is going to happen again this season in all probability.
Poch's teams have generally poor finishes both Spurs and Southampton
We ended strongly last year, winning 12 from 13. The drubbing by City was expected, the draw at Brighton forgivable as they are bang in form and we had the semi a few days later. Yesterday was atrocious though, and if we can't get the 4 more points we need against teams who have packed up for the summer then Poch will be on the thinnest of ice going into next season.
