"he’d be our Pochettino style appointment."

You haven't had a Pochettino style appointment in the 15 years Roman has owned you. You tried it once and the guy lasted less than a year. It's not a coincidence.

Your owner thinks short term. Not saying it's wrong or it's right. But the likes of Jardim and Poch are totally unsuited to Chelsea.

I'm starting to think he'd be the right manager for us right now and sorry Flash I didn't get round to to doing that article about him yet

There does seem to be a bit of snobbery among our fans when you mention him though. Apparently he's not a big enough name etc which is nonsense really and who cares how well known he is. It's about what job he'd do as Chelsea manager.

The AVB appointment was the wrong time for all parties. Had we appointed the straight out of Porto version this summer things would have gone a whole lot better.

Flash - he's been my favoured choice since Conte's sacking started looking inevitable. Ticks all the boxes and if we give him a bit of time I have a feeling we could build something really special. I think he's the best manager we could get if we have any plans to use our golden generation of youth.

I don't want to get my hopes up but if we do land him I will actually feel more hopeful about our long term future and the running of the club than I've felt in a very long time.

As someone who's been keeping an eye on any news relating to Jardim and Chelsea in recent weeks there have been little to no reports linking us to him. I don't think he's even in contention. Sadly

There's a lot of sense and appeal to Jardim. If Roman wants to rain in the money, combined with the fact we've got a youth team who are dominate (some go way overboard with their expectations there, but it is a fact), he ticks a lot of boxes.

Where Sarri would arguably give us more of what Roman ultimately wants (an identity and the admiration of the football world), Jardim would better utilize what we've already got. It's the more practical move.

Personally I'm still holding out hope that we can sway Allegri (frivolous as that may be), but if we wound up with Jardim there won't be a single complaint from me

Advocate I've definitely swayed away from Sarri and much more towards Jardim in recent weeks. As you say we need to utilize what we already have at the club ie all these excellent youngsters that have equalled records set by the Busby Babes 60 or more years ago.

This could very well be a summer where we miss out on a few targets.

It does look very much like Sarri right now, but in 2011 it was 99% Hiddink (with a bit of Van Basten) and then AVB appeared out of the blue.

You never know.

Maybe but with any new manager we get it's usually obvious in the build up who it's going to be. Before Conte came here all the talk was about him. Same with Mourinho before him in his second stint.

It definitely looks like it's going to be Sarri at this stage based on the endless media reports. Obviously that's no guarantee but unless there is some kind of change or big development then it looks like it will be Sarri.

We can't know what Sarri will be like with the youth till he gets here. Napoli's youth are average so you can't blame him for not playing them.

The point is he’s never going to take Chelsea to the top. He’s a good manager, but at best he’ll take us to Liverpool or Tottenham’s level? Do you think Jardim can compete with Guardiola? I don’t.

Nothing trumps the style with Sarri. If a few of our youth fit the style and we've got no-one better, they'll play. If they don't, doesn't matter how good they are, they won't get a look in. Players like Zielinski, Ounas, Diawara & Milik can attest to that.

It'll be an interesting summer if Sarri's in charge. Team will look very different.

How can you be so sure about that though Wahl ? You're going to have to back your statement up with something tangible apart from your say-so . As for Liverpool they are on the cusp of maybe winning the Champions League. Would I like that for my club? Yes I would.

Maybe, but with Europa he'll have to rotate for that which is were Mount could come in. It's a year to soon for Amps and CHO regardless.

Liverpool have had a very easy run to the final. Only top side they’ve played is Man City and for some reason they always beat them. I don’t buy that they’re a top tier team in Europe. Real Madrid, Bayern and Juventus are all better than them.

And I don’t think Jardim could compete with Guardiola because he’s never had to manage is as competitive a league as the premier league. It would just be AVB all over again. Yes he won the league once over PSG, but they badly underachieved to let Monaco beat them.

Liverpool aren't built to win a league over 38 games as it stands, although a great window and they will have the best chance.

Spurs have hit a glass ceiling.

As for United, Jose season 3, enough said.

Jardim probably the best fit for Chelsea of the coaches available. I’m hoping we get him when Jose leaves.

No one is competing with Pep next season. You may as well start building for longer term for after Pep leaves.

They could do with getting back in the CL, though. So they need to have an eye on the immediate future.
