I'm anti transfers too for the same reason by I want everyone to be involved

Could just do transfers if you want to surely. Could always build that in to results

Could always implement the ideas that Trebs have an Trebs can run it

Only thing I'd suggest with Trebs league is extended tactics, 200 is boring, just becomes best 11 wins

Lstd I'm happy to compromise on it, I was just giving an initial idea of what I set out to do.

I've set out my rough idea but it seems Marky's is getting more traction. I'm happy to be involved in any world cup league which involves transfers.

I'll join in whatever the format but without transfers there's no scope to improve which kind of feels like the winners are predetermined to a degree (one of France, Spain, Brazil or Germany)

Similar to the legends idea at least transfers will give the lessor teams an opportunity to bridge the gap, even if its just limited to domestics within the league.

It is fantasy football after all...

You could even limit it to a maximum of three foreign players within your squad or something.

It would at least give whoever draws England a chance to bring in a decent CB or CM

Don’t see why you couldn’t just do transfers. Don’t have to if you don’t want to!

Do transfers but set a limit on foreigns is a good idea.

and perhaps it should be players coming from outside of the squads, ie players not selected and those missing the world cup?

Could potentially do that. As long as there aren't trades between teams. That wouldn't make sense IMO.

It's international football. It's different from club football. It's meant to be different from the usual random trading because we do that already.

I'm not sure I see a need for transfers when you can pick your own national squad. Luck of the draw maybe but....

Once we have 8 confirmed I'll draw the sides and the 2 groups of 4.

Would you rather randomly assign teams? Or do you want to choose your side?

(And then if two people want the same side we can draw for that side)

posted on 23/5/18

Just draw it

posted on 23/5/18

Yeah random draw

posted on 23/5/18

I agree with Fan and Boo

Draw it but give me France

posted on 23/5/18

Now you won’t get France
