Detroit become human Review

Playing through it now. Story hasn't gripped me yet like Heavy Rain's did but seems interesting if a little obvious.

Yeah also having issues with the motion stuff, it's a bit of a pain.

Is it basically like a telltale game then? or can you control characters properly and do proper things?

It is like a telltale game, obviously much better graphically, and I can now confirm multiple endings, my story is now very different.

Although I guess no matter how you play they are all leading to the same thing, My first effort was cut short after everyone died.

Also the easy mode does get rid of the motion controls in fights, which does mean my decisions are my decisions, although I still lost KARA (One of my decisions cost me) but is replaced by simple O or X combinations.

I would have preferred an option to simply get rid of the motion controls in fight scenes, and keep the it to the multiple button presses.

But I am enjoying the game, will play through again when I finish my second playthrough, KARA will live god dammit.

I think the motion controls in fight sequences are actually joystick movements no wonder I failed first time.

Just finished it - bit disappointed.

Story never really grips you and it tries way, way too hard to force you to feel emotion for pretty shallow characters. There were a few good moments with interesting and/or tough decisions, mainly Connor, to make but generally it's a pretty dull 8/9 hours, which is a shame because there is a lot of potential in these games (see Heavy Rain)

It is one of those games you will either love or hate, I really enjoyed it, and I probably enjoyed it more than God of War, and that is another top game, but accept there will be those that don't.

Mind you there are some that didnt like TLOU, so you will never please everyone. But like it or hate it, nobody can knock the diversity of gaming Sony brings to the table.

"It is one of those games you will either love or hate,"

Nah just thought it was disappointing, it wasn't awful but it had so much more potential. Felt like they were a bit in love with their own creation too much for a lot of the time, particularly in Kara's story line, like her entire thing was just one long, tender moment with the kid.

I might even play through it again because to be fair some of the flow charts are massive and will be a different experience the 2nd time, which is cool

Chis you don't seem to understand that is just your opinion, the majority are loving the game, thus a meta of 79.

Fine it wasn't for you, but I enjoyed it, and if you watched the link, so did a gamer who was initially skeptical.

A lot of gamer's would enjoy playing Detroit.

Yep just my opinion, never said otherwise, am sure lots of gamers will love it.

I loved it.

Over a bit too quickly. I lost Kara because I couldn't find the damn tickets and got grabbed by Todd. I was annoyed so the the City got dirty.

Connor and Marcus made it though. Replayed from where I erred and it was happy ever after more or less. Hank bought it though but I couldn't see another way.

I got on well with Hank, by the end we were best of friends.

Yes we were mates too, but the Connor vs Connor fight near the end sealed his fate

You didn't choose to sacrifice Hank
