None of all these things matter because when Madrid come for you, you listen.

The question is do Madrdu want him? If yes then he's gone.

He'd be stupid not to go to Madrid.

Even if it doesn't work out he will have joined the pantheon and will manage a big club after.

I mean, even Spurs would take back not to mention United, the Italians and the French. Maybe even Bayern.

Its a win-win for Poch as opposed to staying at Spurs where he could spend his career and end up potless.

Poch isn't stupid, if Madrid make an acceptable offer he is gone.

There's no way Poch can lose by moving to Madrid, in fact it will be his making as a manager.

No brainer.

Whilst I agree Madrid is a massive pull, including Poch, I think too many hopeful Liverpool fans have ignored the comments in the press conference yesterday. How much clearer can the man be by stating he is happy, has a 5 year contract and will not force a move.

Not a good time to go to Madrid for a manager IMO. They'll be in a transitional period soon enough and that may include losing Ronaldo or Bale.

Like you say, how do you follow someone who has won 3 consecutive CL finals? Best to wait for a manager to be sacked for not doing well and then go.

I think Spurs fans are deluded

He said he won't force anything.

That tells you everything.

He's telling Madrid he won't force anything and if they want him they have to make an acceptable offer, in which case yes gone.

Poch didn't say he won't join Madrid, only that he won't force it. Its a terrible thing for a manager to say.

Spurs fans are racking deluded.

Desperation to make something out of it. You say it tells you everything and then use 2 paragraphs to explain what it tells us

On one hand Madrid is the biggest best job. Best team, best players. But very, very high expectations. It’s the pinnacle so you can seeehy he’d be interested.

Spurs can’t match any of that. Not even close. However, he’s in a confortable job, building a very good team with far less expectations, and is well paid.

Personally I’d stick with spurs, though if he had grand ambitions...Madrid.

I've no idea whether he will go or not, but if he does I think he will regret it. I believe Real are on the decline and are not know for patience.

I hope he turns them down anyway, I don't like it when they think they can snap their fingers and get who they want.

I don't like it either but getting sacked at Madrid cannot be said to he regrettable. Its a certainty at some point anyway.

Having been sacked by Madrid probably after winning a trophy or two he will still move amongst big prestigious clubs. Nothing to regret there.

It seems like the perfect time for Poch to leave imo. I think he's built all he can with Spurs really and he's definitely made them a stronger team than the 5 years previous to his arrival.

I just can't see how he can take that Spurs side forward now. I think as Real do go through this transitional period, Poch would be the man to see them through that period of time as the likes of Bale/Ronaldo/Benzema/Modric/Ramos who are now entering their 30's, end up moving on or retiring. He's the person who can build them up for me.

In Spurs' case, I feel as though they need a competent manager who has a track record of winning trophies. Even something like a League Cup or FA Cup at this stage would be ideal for Spurs along with a top 4 finish. Poch moving to Real could be a win-win for both sides if all goes well.

The thing for any Manager is to ask Real Madrid what their plan is to replace 5 key players that could now be defined as in the latter years?

The club doesn't do 'transitional' periods as it is about buying their way back to success.

Ramos: 32
Marcelo: 30
Modric: 33 this year
Ronaldo: 33
Benzema: 31 this year

Replacing these players this season or the next is no small feat, and then there is building depth in the squad to challenge on all title fronts as third place is not to any fans liking.

It's hard not to move as Tottenham are not going to win the league, maybe an FA Cup at best..?

I expect him to go if the interest is serious enough, but I am sure he'll be asking what Real Madrid vision for their future.

Sandy's talking his nonsense again.

Ramos and Marcelo maybe the wrong side of 30 but they’re still brilliant players who don’t need replacing just yet. Real need rebuilding but they don’t need to rebuilt the whole first XI. 5 of their starting XI are in their 20s and they have players like Asensio, Kovacic and Vasquez coming through too.

If they can bring in 3-4 quality players this summer that could make a big difference. Real might be hard to manage but every manager in the world will want to prove themselves there.

Let’s be honest, if he wouldn’t go to Madrid just because they’ve won the last three CL then he’s probably not the manager Madrid want.
