Well, apparently we had a £30m bid rejected for Martins, so we went back, had a cup of tea and a little chat about it, slept on our decision, and went back with another bid.

I read somewhere that the players were expecting the bids to be accepted so they could leave on amicable terms, but as they weren't they've decided to push for the contract termination.

I only read about it for the first time last night so I'm not exactly ITK, but it's an interesting situation.

Sounds like they're trying to take advantage of a bad situation for their own financial gains.

The kind of character trait we should be avoiding.

Looks like Martins has been released from his contract. Heavily linked with Arsenal who had two bids (both 35m euros ) rejected by Sporting.

Guessing he's our brand new spanking wide forward.

Really don't want him. Love child of Gervinho and Iwobi.

They would all improve Arsenal. Would be a great coup signing all three.
