On a more serious, i'd take every result & performance with a hefty pinch of salt. The youngster have been very good but i'm not entirely sure they're ready for 1st team action. ESR needs game time so perhaps a league cup run then a loan would suit him. Same goes for Nketiah and Nelson/willock.

I'd keep Guendouzi for sporadic 1st team appearances. He has that special attribute in him to keep possession and release the 1st pass quick. And obviously he's the new Vieira so Guendouzi kicking Xhaka out the 1st team would be extra special

The problem is that we never managed to find a decent team with a decent coach to loan our players.
As academic graduate, they spend 3 to 5 season to learn how to play the Arsenal way for us to loan them to a team playing like Stoke. Utterly pointless.

Aye, but at that age they just need to play football, regardless of the style of football they play under. You can develop the style of football as you go, but players need to play high level competitive games to get a feel for whether they'll make it or not.

Besides what is the "Arsenal way" anymore? We've stopped playing Wengerball since 6 years, ago.

I agree with serial, the kids need to be able to break into those teams regardless.
Didn't the "Old Jack" play regularly for bolton, hardly our style in those days but he was determined to succeed then.

You need to not be passive and stand out, and I think this is what is failing from many youngsters. Talent alone doesn't get you to the top, even Messi and Ronaldo worked their butts off to be at the top of their game.

Mislintat seems to have unearthed another special player if Guendouzi's performances in Singapore are any guide.
