It's so journalists can spread the story out over a few days instead of squeezing it all into one edition. They get so anal about it if one of the journalists ends up leaking every single quote on the same day.

so the embargoed quotes that come out at half 10 are for the papers tomorrow. There'll be more coming out tomorrow night too for the Sunday papers since we don't play Brighton until then.

Maybe. But can you imagine SAF not saying anything in such a situation? To be fair, I can't imagine the old Jose letting a player get away with that.

I think that Jose knows his position is precarious and is too scared to ruffle Pogba's feathers in case it costs him his job. He looks weak now in his position and this could be difficult for him to come back from. Are the players going to respect him now after Pogba says something like that without any comeback? It will be interesting to see how this pans out over the next few weeks/months, but he could soon find himself in the same position he did at Chelsea, with the players having the power and ultimately forcing him out.
