Sounds appalling. I’d be interested to know what the timeframe for recent similar sized stadiums being built was. I watched The Debate a few weeks ago and someone said that the Emirates took 20 months to build, what made us think we could shave 5 months off that? Interested to know what a standard or average timeframe for this has been around Europe in recent years.

It is all being overblown, nearly every big construction, always has these sort of problems, just you never hear about them. Name me any big construction project that has finished on time, they nearly always run way over schedule. The new Spurs stadium is no different.

Sounds like Levy tried to save at every turn and fooked it up by hiring cowboys.

I’d get that little bald pit bull Dom down there .

Someone's comment at the bottom of the article:

"As a senior project quality control manager who has managed some of the worlds most prestigious projects, i walked away from this project after just 6 weeks because of the following
1. The job was being run by non managerial staff brought in by Base construction on behalf of Daniel Levy.
2. Fire safety was being ignored on closures.
3. Agencies were sending Romanian post men disguised as construction men.
4. Leadership from Directors down didnt want experienced men. They wanted shouters and people who would put in the hours regardless what they could do."
