I said the other day in a post Lamela should be starting, he offers goals and always tries to make something happen, plus his work rate is criminally underrated.

His never going to be a Bale that’s for sure ,but his a damm fine footballer and deserves to be in the starting 11.

I didn't see the game, just kept an eye on the Sky app,, but as soon as I saw the line up I feared the worst.

Wanyama-Winks-Sissoko

This mirrors other flat and uninspiring midfield 3s we have played this season, and by the sound of what my pals told me we looked shocking.

As soon as we made the changes, the XI looked more balanced - back to 4231 it appeared - and it gave me a bit of confidence.

These are observations without seeing a ball kicked, not sure how near the mark they are. I have seen the goals and that is it.

Anyway, Lamela. Has deserved a start for weeks now, he looks super sharp and is contributing goals and assists. The ball for the penalty was superb yesterday, and he took his goal well.

I have long fancied Lamela in a deeper central position, and if we persevere with a 41212 or a 433, then I would like to see him in one of the deeper positions. I would love to see us try Dier, Lamela and Eriksen in a midfield 3 personally.

Really pleased with our new Gazza. I hope he gets promoted to second keeper. I have nothing against Vorm, he's been a loyal player but I'm never confident when he appears on the team sheet. Lamela is defo turning out to be the player we thought we were buying way back. Our loyalty to him is paying off.

Lamela must start against Barca who lost yesterday to the bottom club, maybe not a foregone conclusion result after all.

agree but Dier needs to up his game significantly though and stop venturing forward, if his going to play in a midfield 3 with Lamela and Eriksen.

Can we banish Sissoko to the Sahara desert ? My eyes bleed watching him attempt to trap a football. Simply the worse footballer I have ever seen at Spurs. I have seen the likes of Gary Doherty and Paolo Tramezzani. They don't even come close to the sh**ness of Moussa Sissoko. In fact, worse footballer in the premier league.
