Agree great start but am concerned about our performances lately , hopefully they will start to raise their game soon as too many players off key at the moment - Trent , bobby , and mane all poor and Fabinho struggling - seems keen to play it safe . Hope Jordan and Naby can bring some dynamism to midfield

Very true.
Only 5 goals conceded in 12 games is a pretty amazing stat, considering we havent been anywhere near our best.
Its easy to underestimate your unbeaten start having faced arsenal, spurs & chelsea away. city will probably match those results or better them but it will remain close until March even though for the league and fans, it will still feel like there is only one team in it.
Your most difficult matches until you play City in the new year are Wolves & Man Utd. Get through those and you could beat city and spark this title race

Our front 3 are doing OK but not yet clicking into gear
There is a lot more to come from Liverpool, we just need that dynamism in the middle of the pitch. It's such a shame Ox got injured

That's the difference between City and us. Having seen both games, they appeared ninety miles an hour, we were pedestrian, walking pace. Two excellent goals, no question, but the gap between City and us is there for all to see.
Doom and gloom? Not from me. There's no question the team can up the ante, but in terms of excitement, a la last season it just isn't there for the Reds.
It's the proverbial marathon, not a sprint. So, here's hoping, City burn themselves out.
Great start for us but City will have to implode for us to catch them over a seasons games. And there’s no reason they would.

They are a little bit light up front I'd say. If Aguero got injured they might drop off a bit
The good news is still been in touch when not really playing well. City have been playing well and scoring goals but not pulling away from us. We should be stronger in the second half of the season and start scoring a few more again. So a long way to go

I said it after they beat spurs. They look so strong and you can tell they know they are the best. We still there, just about but how much long we can keep up I don't know.
We need to win the next 4 games.
In the end city have having a great run. Everyone is fit there and they have no issues except for de bruyne.
Silva and aguero are still kiey players so they are key concerns for city. If they get injured it opens the door.

Actually I'd say the key players for them are Aguero and Fernandinho. Every other position they have top quality backup, except for those 2.

3 in Champions league - 2 less than Liverpool
0 in league cup.
I looked at the table and you know what? I’m really happy with us this season. A few of the performances could have been a bit better and the Red Star defeat was probably the lowest point of the season so far and was very disappointing and means there’s going to be a lot of pressure on the remaining CL fixtures.
Other than that it’s been good in terms of the results and it’s a massive improvement from last season. Beaten the teams we expect to beat and avoided defeat against the better teams. Didn’t beat Arsenal sadly but didn’t lose to City or Chelsea when we might have lost.
If not for City being the powerhouse that they are proving to be, very few Liverpool fans would have anything negative to say about us in the league.
I just have the horrible feeling that we might have our best ever season and get like 90 points which would be a record for us and finish runners-up to City scoring 100 points again or something like that. Still a very long way to go yet though.
Plus I haven’t mentioned United yet...
I'm very chuffed with our campaign so far. I pretty much agree with most of what was said on here. TBH I cant see us catching City. They've looked scarily good and De Bruyne's not even playing. City will only get stronger once he returns to the first 11. We might need another season with us adding one or two quality additions before we can fully match them.
