If people can't see that the criticism Rahemm is getting contradicts istelf then what hope have you of debating this with them.

I mean just take these 2 examples.

1. Raheem flaunts his wealth
2. Cheap Raheem takes easy jet flight.

Case closed

flaunts his wealth? you mean he takes pictures of new stuff he can afford which are expensive(pretty much like every instagramer alive) so that means he cant shop or get cheap things, makes sense

It is more a vendetta against Sterling rather than racism. If there were a number of black footballers who were getting same treatment then I would agree.
That little mix singer got exactly the same publicity in the media as sterling did for a gun tattoo

Alberto Moreno and Shane Duffy both have gun tatoo's, you seen them vilififed for it?

no worries mate, we're on the same wavelength

Piers Morgan has come out defending the media and saying the same nonsense some on here have said about Raheem, so I mean WTF! When he's your champion you know you're fecked...

Piers Morgan should live a life of solitude, wake up each day, be grateful he’s not in the nick, and keep his 5hitty opinions to himself.

Are they high profile players? Not saying its right but with hugh orofile players comes more focus on your life. Like i keel bloody aaying rooney, beckham, grealish etc all have had negative press some more than others however its got nothing to do with race.
My point still stands. That littke mix singer and akso had bags if negative press about the gun tattoo. Reason being with sterling and her is because they are high profile in a time when gun and knife crime is as bigger issue as there has ever been in this country.

you haven't answered the question put to you as to why the negative press about streling is in response to actually pretty mundane stuff, shopping at a discount store, cheap flights? yeah lets bash him for that

It was 2 different journalists who reported it. You honestly believe it was all motivated due to skin colour?
------------------
from the same paper so yes, papers cant openly be racist so they do things like this, are you really too slow to read between the lines of the stories?

one, a young white lad, buys a house for his mum, feel good story

one, a young black lad, buys a house for his mum which is not mentioned, just the fact he may have purchased something too expensive
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh that makes it racist ......jesus christ
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fueling racism, fueling, thick as plank

As Kaz says you're avoiding the actual difference, Grelish was passed out drunk, I mean who cares he's a young fella enjoying himself, but explain how that is the same as Raheem going to shop in Primark or getting a Greggs?

The 2 players mentioned are full internationals playing in the PL, yet not a peep about their tatoo's, in fact the worst thing about Moreno was a pic of him on one of them hover board things walking his dog saying he was lazy

If you give legitimate examples of Sterling doing what Grelish / Rooney did then I'm all ears.

Also do you think the criticism of his tatoo was fair?

Some of the stuff isn't even negative...him having breakfast etc etc. Its boring pointless stories that we say oh so often. If you said 'he is being targeted' i would agree. However why put the racism bit in? What because he is black and targeted its racist but when its rooney or beckham its not racist. Again i go back to pointless stories about rooney. Drunk at a wedding party, not doing housework etc etc

----------------------------------------------------------------------There’s an arsenal player with a gun tattoo and a Liverpool player.

Why didn’t that come out in the press then?

posted on 10/12/18

are you suggesting that there are people who write pointless articles about rooney?

posted on 10/12/18

I’m not sure how you can still be missing the point this badly python. Wayne Rooney not being prone to having a quick vac of the gaff is absolutely irrelevant.

maybe next time when you see these articles read the comments underneath from the general public, websites know which players have racist hate directed at them, so is there any need to put in a story about sterling shopping somewhere? no but they do it so the gammon can come out and spout their garbage in the comments section, yet some articles they will deliberately block comments being made on stories, moving off topic but there was a article in the express about the so called fued between the 2 princes wives, guess which side the comments section were on(give you a clue, it wasn't the darker skinned lady), if your really too slow to know why websites put out these articles then as someone has already said there's no point debating

Missing the point how? The whole debate as to this apparent media fuelling racism stems from the negative press of sterling. Something again I come back to which Beckham and Rooney received along with other stars from celebrities etc etc. Sterling gets targeted I agree however not IMO because of his skin colour. If it is then why aren't other black players getting the same treatment as Sterling?

You keep focusing on white players having negative press after doing something wrong. It is completely irrelevant.

------------------
a simple answer is he's a easy target as papers are in the business of selling their papers and a young unknown black footballer doing what sterling does wont nearly sell as much or even register? you really think they put out their stories in the interest of the general public or the interest of their shareholders?

tbf good on sterling for talking on the tabloids, that being said they will probably pounce next trip he trips on the pavement claiming he tried to kill it

Sterling literally just pointed one out in Adarabioyo and Foden reporting. Articles about Lukaku, Pogba, young Sturridge, young Zaha, Lingard all have the same tones as the reporting of Adarabioyo and Sterling. They follow a rhetoric that young black players are greedy/lazy, have a bad attitude, like partying or think they’re a rapper, or spend too much money on flash things. Sterling is at one end of the spectrum but all the players mentioned, and more, are victim to it.

You can see yourself how it influences people’s opinions. Look at ttliv’s comments. He is convinced Sterling has a bad attitude because ‘everyone knows he’s lazy and arrogant’. I pointed out people only think that because of how tabloids report him. He then makes up some stupid excuse that he must be lazy and arrogant because ttliv thinks he’s lazy for England. You also see it mixed in with fan perceptions of the likes of Lingard and Pogba - they care too much about their ‘haircuts and silly celebrations’ but when Jimmy Bullard was celebrating wildly in his own way people loved it. Why? Jimmy Bullard is more relatable to the middle aged generation that attack Lingard and Pogba.

It is not every black player, you are right. It is young black players who are confident within themselves and how they express/portray themselves.

So what about the other high profile black players. Why don't they pick on them also?

It’s absolutely in their interests to fuel racism because it prevents people from waking up and looking at the genuine problems we’re facing. Look at brexit, it became totally about nationalism and immigration, when actually there are more legitimate reasons to leave the EU, largely completely overlooked.
