Well if he’s on the wind up he seems to have succeeded. If he hadn’t you’d probably just ignore it as opposed to creating an article about it wouldn’t you?

Maybe once but if he continually mugged your team off for no reason you would feel aggrieved especially if he used to play for you.

No I wouldn’t. If for example I thought he was a complete idiot who I had absolutely no interest in what he said, in my case that would be that old gobshiiiite Harry Redknapp, then I’d simply not bother reading or listening to what he said?

It’s really not difficult to turn the sound off, change the channel or to simply not start, continue and finish reading something.

You can understand not putting him in the City XI because they have Fernandinho*. You can understand Chelsea, because he is similar to Kante.
But Liverpool, Spurs and United would be better teams if they had him.

(*Torreira would probably replace him quickly enough though)

Merse don’t know what day it is, most fickle pundit I’ve ever heard.

Not bothered. He is just stating his views, why does that wind you up?

Clearly doing this for attention now. Must've got a lot of clicks and attention the last two times he was controversial about arsenal.

He seems very anti arsenal this season. Don’t know why, maybe due to us having new manager. But he always seems desperate for us to get smashed every game

It isn’t his view tho is it!. He is so inconsistent with what he says, was praising him the other week putting Torreira after the NLD. Also said we’d get smashed by Liverpool then apologised afterwards only to be all negative again when we drew with Wolves.

I’ve said all along, for years and years; Arsenal are one of the best teams in the world with the ball. But for the last four or five years they've been one of the worst in the world without the ball. He has changed that.

When Torreira gets around people, it's a domino effect, and everybody else rallies and gets around the opposition players. And his attitude is great; he leaves nothing on the pitch and gets stuck in. He gets people going. He's done absolutely outstandingly well, and came up with two massive goals in the last couple weeks.

Liverpool wouldn't buy him tomorrow morning, I wouldn't have thought any of the top four would. He can and will get better, but he's done great.

They needed it, we all knew that, Arsene Wenger knew it but he was too stubborn to go and get someone."

Sounds like it’s more to do with his anger at Wenger than anything else, needs to move on.

It’s annoying because under wenger we had a few teams (since we last won the league) that were a torreria type player away for winning big trophies. But he never went out and got them. It’s great to see Emery values those type of players again, and likes the grafter/nasty steak players all teams need. Can see it with guendouzi aswell, they can play, but also aren’t afraid to get stuck in. Wenger has plenty of them, but seemed to abandon them after 2006

Merson has flatly denied the Sun story.

On the flip side Emery doesn’t seem to value the creative midfield type. Wilshere and Cazorla have both gone. Ozil and Ramsey seem to be on their way. Mkhi is hopefully on his way too. You would think we’d need a replacement for at least 2 of those players but not sure if he likes that’s type of player or not

Keep it up, Merse !

That's another Arsenal pre-match team talk done.
