Right, time to suck it up from Nev.....

Ole Claude got it spot on in the end with some help from a woeful Everton. 9/12 points over the festive period is a fantastic return. Should of been 12 though with some better tactics vs Cardiff.

3pts! Can't be bad. Sounded crap but we'll take it.

Play with the same formation away from home that we did to such success at Stamford Bridge - tick.

Nullify Everton's technically superior, £135m worth of midfield - tick.

Keep the home crowd quiet throughout - tick.

Score on the counter attack - tick.

Rest some of those who's legs had gone half way through the Cardiff game - tick.

Come away with three points - tick.

Climb up to 7th - tick.

Well done lads Not bad for the worst team and manager in the club's history

Take nothing away from our very good smash and grab but Everton are awful foxello. I don’t care how much they have spent that is a side that’s no better than 10th which is where they currently sit. I’m amazed at how bad they have become and wondering if Sigurdsson wishes he had come to us instead.

Between us and wolves for 7th, well it should be

BS - If he does then b*ll*cks to him. We were plenty interested enough and he held out for Everton. We have Maddison now instead.

Nailed Foxy if it was a Nigel you guys would be biging this and the other wins big time now still using the cardiff game to try and pull down a winner of a manager makes me laugh

That first half was close to the worst I’ve ever seen as a leicester fan. And I include New Year’s Day game against rotherham. I include the game against Luton under Pleat. I include all games. So much talent, such poor play.

Glad you were happy with it though Foxello.

It was a poor half of football, but both teams were just as bad as each other. There were something like 130 misplaced passes between the two. But we improved in the first half, got the goal on the counter attack and they rarely looked like scoring, mainly because we completely nullified.

I'm almost feel like it's completely pointless debating with you, Mersey. You are completely blinded and refuse to look at anything other than through your Puel Out spectacles. Even BS and TB, who I have had my fair share of disagreements with, are more open minded than you are. You hate Puel so much and want him gone to such an extreme extent that nothing he does will ever change it.

We're 7th in the league with a young, improving squad. And sure, some of the football has been poor at times but we are in a results business and we are getting the results and are at the top end of our expectation spectrum. That's good enough for me.

Mersey - no it wasn’t. You have a short memory if you think that was anywhere near the scale of Rotherham. Today in the first half, we weren’t playing well offensively but we were defending ok and the players looked like they gave half a sh!t or greater.
I think you need to reassess if you seriously think that’s a comparison.

Mersey my friend you have a blind hate for the Frenchman. I have seen 50 years of poo and that does not come close playing at 12.30 on Boxing strange time away against Everton both teams giving the ball away.
The tactical genius you refuse to reconise played his block and when he saw the ball wasn't being played forward enough he changed CP/mon/NP understood the need to do what we did today.
But it does not matter because you don't want him.
All this about we should have 12 points as if beating Man city Chelsea and Everton was a given doh we would of got 12 points if Maddision had scored his penalty and tell me how you blame Puel for that?

Fair shout Foxello. But with your “record misplaced passes” comment, I don’t know how we can debate that we were any good.

I agree with you, I am beyond debate. I’ve made my mid up on Puel and all I can see is negative.

I don’t see anyone trying to convince me otherwise though. Because that first half today was embarrassing.

Mersey doesn’t hate Puel and throwing in that’s he’s French all the time is just crass.

Mersey ‘hates’. If that’s the right word the style of Football, the dross that’s being served up against any team who don’t have the quality to make us come away from Puel’s style.

The style we’ve shown against any Club outside the top 7 except Watford who made that mistake as well.

Both Clubs should be embarrassed by today’s performance, what an awful advert for Premier League Football by two teams with such quality squads.

A goal created fro Three mistakes, not counter attacking as Foxello stated but direct football, from a poor kick from the keeper, woeful touches by Two Everton players but the awareness of our best two players to take advantage.

Times are good, the points are on the board but it only takes a bit of a bad run and the dire football will be the headlines again.
