Newport County beat Leicester

Leicester was the biggest fluke title win since Ipswich in 1962. They are about as average a side as you will see. Probably be back in the Championship once Vardy packs it in.

7th place, best team outside the top 6, so we’re not quite as bad as you’re making out

Very hard to build when the usual suspects come in for your best players as Spurs May find out themselves some day

You can possibly ''fluke'' a title on goal difference but how many points did they eventually win by?

You're still bitter with finishing third in a two-horse race bud, i'd be piiiiiiissed too tbh............but time's a great healer

Enough quality left over to avoid losing to Newport. Could be an unprecedented collapse.

Sums you up bud tbf.

How dare a little ol' club from the Midlands beat the mighty Spurs to the title!!!!!!
Leicester showed class throughout that fantastic season and were more than worthy winners.
Spurs showed their class by kicking the fooook out of Chelsea because Spurs were on the ropes.

Nothing appears to have changed tbh.
Sadly.

Wait, you're saying it's right and proper Leicester can't beat side in the fourth tier

As I say, title glory to fans defending losses to Newport. Unprecedented.

Possibly, but I think 99% of clubs would have taken that deal.

When did I say that? This is the same fourth tier side that very nearly knocked you out the cup last year. You had to bring Harry Kane onto get a last gasp equaliser. You were hardly that much better.....

Let me spell this out for you. Spurs couldn’t beat Newport at their place either. Had to bring Kane on to snatch an equaliser and do them at Wembley. And you’re now trying to wum to Leicester for losing with their reserves.

It’s ridiculous to call a title win a fluke. You can’t fluke it over 38 games. Leicester won that league fair & square, they were the best team. They went all out early in the season, then after they beat us 0-1 at the Lane seemed to tighten up and grind out quite a few wins. I said at the time, if it couldn’t be us then fantastic that it’s them, incredible achievement.

They came out of nowhere to do it, straight from a relegation battle, they weren’t equipped to maintain it into the next season, especially with bigger clubs retaliating by spending more money. They are on course for 7/8th this season which is about where they should be; they should establish themselves as European regulars in the Europa League.

Blackburn is nothing like Leicester, they had what at the time was heavy investment, a huge coup in getting Dalgliesh in, and came runners up the season before they won it. Their title win was the result of money and building toward it, not a freak occurrence. The fact they ended up going down a few years later is much more damning on them as a club than a weakened Leicester team being the victims of an FA Cup upset.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Sorry Ace, you can dress it up how you like it was a fluke title win. I don't care if they played a 100 games that season and still won it. They were a hoofball team that miraculous somehow got over the line.

We had Kante, Mahrez and Vardy FFS. They outperforming most of the players in Europe that season. Who cares what style we played winning it? You played great football and bottled it to finish 3rd - woohoo. Did you get a trophy for that?
