Dare I say it but I think promotion for you would be the worst thing.

I said it 6 months ago that St Mirren were going up probably a year to early for the team.

You are far to inconsistent that if you win promotion based on everyone else struggling you could be in for a very bad season in the top flight

A draw at home to Thistle is 2 points dropped mate....I would like United to come back up but looking less likely with every passing week....you very much look and seem like a standard Championship side. . no more than that

I think our finances dictate that we need promotion regardless of where the team is - although I'd hope the new owners would bankroll things a little to help us consolidate in the top league if we do go up, as unlikely as that is right now.


Lex - apparently McCall was at pains to stress it was a genuine Achilles injury rather than because his head had been turned by a transfer. Strong rumours about him going down south though.

Sadly I agree.

We need two or three more in all of which must have quality and a winning mentality. January is a hard time to find those players.

Transfer news - United are on the verge of signing Cammy Smith and Osman Sow.

Smith was at United then for some bizarre reason Ray didn't play him and he went and won the league at St Mirren.

Sow was very good at Hearts imo then went abroad and struggled with injuries.

Good signings if they happen.
