Not really. Points wise he was closer to Arsenal in 6th than he was City.
He does have some valid points in his comments though.
He may have a point in some ways but some of the last 6 games have shown that he needs to take a lot of the blame.
I do think Utds season will topple in the next few weeks.. the Spurs result really was a freak result, If your keeper making 11 saves is a tactical masterclass then football has gone nuts.
On another day Spurs win that game.
He is utterly incapable of showing humility and I honestly think that his days in top level management are numbered.

How is it a freak result when United win 6 out of 6?
the Spurs result really was a freak result
...............
No more a freak result than the reverse fixture this season.
He actually said he wasn't talking about united but about modern football
The main point he wanted to make was "it wasn't my fault".... It never is

On another day we are 2 or 3 nil up and the game is done. That’s football.
Other managers manage to deal with modern players. The problem seems to follow him around and should not be generalised for every coach and club. He should rephrase his would and say that there needs to be a buffer between Jose and modern players.
Mourinho says modern football clubs need structuring so that there is not a direct relationship "between the player and the coach" which he says leads to "hard decisions".

Yeah, how do you coach the players with a buffer between them?
To be fair to Jose, he does seem to have some similar mental disorders to what the orange buffoon has.
So it might not be his fault.

It was a miracle to finish 2nd, not that it was any of his doing mind.

And about 2 of them were meaningful, much like the Arsenal game last season when everyone went hysterical about De Gea

Not forgetting the 4 or 5 saves Lloris had to make to keep Spurs in the game. Could have been quite comfortable for United well before DDG got his gloves dirty.
Would love to know what top football club will take him on next, he seems confident that he’ll still be managing at the top. Let’s see then pal.

If you actually watched the match, you would've seen that we could have been a few goals up before spurs even started trying to score in the 70th minute.
If we had put away our chances, spurs would have been about 4 goals down by the 70th minute.
Sheet happens.

Its just classic deflection tactics from what I can see.
Its a way of saying he can't handle or adapt to modern times and thats why he is finished at the very top.
He should have taken the Benfica job and rebuilt his repuation again.
Sadly I think he is too stubborn to change his ways, something that Fergie was not. Hes too delusional and not humble enough to adapt. His past 2 managerial roles are testamant to that.

De Gea is a member of our team. Might as well say it was a freak result if Rashford had scored the winner late on. We bought him to make saves, he did it better than the players Spurs had bought to score. Voilà.
