Fans think because we lose to fine margins like Juventus and Chelsea that this team is capable of winning it if the stars aligned.

That is pure hope and praying that everything works out for us. Football doesn't work like that and every season a team gets hit with bad form and/ or injuries - these are not something to disregard.

Those fine margins are bridged by players like Ronaldo and Hazard. We don't need to spend £100m on players like that but Kane for example gets injured from over-playing and we've failed to find a replacement.

Central midfield is weak and we've failed to find replacements or additions.

If you want to endorse and accept our approach and give City etc. abuse for having all the money to spend then you also have to accept that we aren't on their level and most likely won't win anything.

It's one thing improving like we have from a top 6 to a top 4 team in the league but actually winning it and cup tournament is a whole other story.

On a more serious note I’ve always said you need luck to win anything and you’ve had terrible luck of late. It’s not just injuries when I refer to luck, it’s about about when you play teams. I can’t see past City for the league but pray we get all the luck to help our cause

You need luck in the cups, not in the league.

League as well Snowy. Utd all of a sudden are winning games but a month ago you would of easily beaten them. Most teams go through a bad patch and ideally you want to play them during it

And yes you need to turn up in the big games, but I bet Chelsea could not believe how lucky they were that none of Spurs better players were on the pitch against them last night, added to the fact that Poch didn`t start Rose and Lloris, and you can see how understrength Spurs were last night.

You can make a point without discrediting it with nonsense at the end of it. Lloris as good as he is wouldn't have made a difference to yesterday's game - Gazzaniga done well and not at fault for any of the goals.

I am not saying Gazza was at fault for the goals, but Lloris is the better goalie as it stands, and should be starting semi-finals.
