As for McKenna. He's a donkey and Aberdeen are trying to create an unrealistic value for him in the market in an effort to solve a serious financial concern.


And what serious financial concern would that be?

You need money to build a stadium. There's no significant cash in the bank. The income from the sale of Pittodrie won't cover it. The supporters won't cover it. Milne won't cover it personally.

So there's a shortfall.

Bank lending would be an expensive and long term commitment.

Selling players is the obvious solution. Aberdeen believe that Mckenna is the most valuable asset and they believe that, in the English market, they can get £10m for him and they'll look to sell for something close to that. That money will go to the financing of the club...including the stadium.

Which part of that do you disagree with?

Cormack can afford it and would put money in but Milne's complex finances make that option very difficult. There is another group who would put money in but not with Milne in charge.
