Big Sam incoming...

Shame it hasn't worked out for him there. I thought he'd be able to plug some leaks in their defence and give them a chance of survival but I suppose that wasn't the case.

Makes things a bit easier as fans in our next home game of course; what with it being Rodgers' first home match in full charge, it could have been a tough atmosphere with Ranieri on the opposing bench.

Been a disaster looking at their forum. They never took to him and looked clueless.

He's done the kind of job for them that everyone thought he would do for us following his torrid time in the Greece job.

There’s still so many questions over Ranieri despite his amazing achievement with us.

Let’s be honest, taking nothing away from what he did in that first season, but all of the stars aligned perfectly.

I’m wondering if that second season with us was more of the real him

Definitely BS. It all went to pot when he started dping things his own way in the 2nd season.

Pity but were fulham not almost a new team put together this season,
If he could have got them together he may have stood a chance
At least we won't be responsible for his dismissal

It's sad it hasn't worked out for him, but it does mean that were no longer the latest club to sack our manager.

This is why we need a statue erecting of Ranieri and Shakespeare hoisting the hero Pearson into the air.

They were bottom of the league when he signed..... Not his type of assignment and should of not took the job?

Now he may have to drop down to the Championship to get some street free again.....

Strange isn't it. A week or so ago I was thinking, how embarrassing it will be for Puel at the Fulham match, as the fans will undoubtedly be singing all the old songs in Claudio's honour- dilly ding dilly dong etc. Now they've both gone. Funny old world innit.

It sort of makes our achievement in 2015/16 all the more remarkable. Ranieri was expected to fail - so was it all because of the foundations laid by Pearson? Look how Pearson has struggled since. Steve Walsh was booted out at Everton. Shakespeare was sacked after a few months.

So many stars aligned and Ranieri was one of them. Even for his humour and humility he will forever be an integral part of our memories of what we achieved.

What has annoyed me most in the past few days is the comments by "pundits" saying it must have been some sort of fluke that Ranieri took us to the title as he's now been shown to be no good & they can't understand why Brendan Rodgers would choose a "little" club like Leicester when he could probably walk in to Chelsea or "another top 6 outfit" at the end of the season. We are still looked down on by those who follow the likes of Man Utd, Liverpool etc. I'm looking forward to next season now and hoping Brendan can put us back on the map as a top 6 contender. UTF.
