Sinclair, a 25-goal player of the year in his debut 2016-17 campaign and with 17 goals this term, could ultimately leave Parkhead this summer on a free transfer.
Is our board stupid?
I would trigger the extra year option but that it

He won’t go for that.
He’ll want more security for certain. And if we offer a one year extension we will lose him.
This is when having an interim manager causes problems. It should really be the managers decision but we don't have a permanent manager just now.
Sinclair should be signed up immediately, no brainer.
His goals and assists return is outstanding but i still think our overall play suffers from him in the team.
It wouldn't surprise me if he left this summer, especially when he's on close to £40K a week.

She's up here pretty much all the time now apparently which would suggest they're settled.
There's one chance Lawwell will trigger a one year extension for someone on £40K a week

It is the huge wages and the diminishing returns on any chance of a fee.. ..a year extension will mean we would still have him at a relative peak of his powers and he knows he has one last pay day still in the pipeline down south but knowing Lawell he will offer a new contract at half the wages
this is where we will miss rodgers imo.
there is no way lawwell will keep a 40k a week player on the books without trying to placate a manager who we are lucky to have.
back to how it was before, 20k max and mediocrity.

This is certainly looking like getting big players off the wage bill now. We had this with GS when he was in charge so we may see the squad size brought down a bit.

If he's willing to drop to under £25K a week then I'd give him a 2 year deal but he's not giving us enough to merit more than that.
Shved looks a player as well but he likes to play in Forrest's position so we would still need to add a left winger if Sinclair goes.
Morgan to come back obviously but i don't think many have high hopes for him.
its a stick on RnR
Edouard will be next, forget about another dembele.
it will be back to getting Bayo's ( not that i know if he is any good i just mean the 2 million pound strikers).

i think he will be a great scottish championship player.
Would Sinclair get an EPL side?
Not so sure, he was a championship player when you bought him and bar a good first season tends to be one that gets a fair bit of stick on here.
Sinclair would get a decent move no problem at all. His record at us has been excellent, plenty of clubs would be more than willing to snap him up.
Aye he'd get a move to a top end championship club no problem.
Doubt he'd get a move to the prem though.
He'll be after a final payday.
i hope we dont slip back to just doing enough, its too risky.
lets try and be better ffs.

jozo, hendy, ajer, bitton, lustig.
we're f...ed tbh, should have been sorted last summer but it wasn't, then in january, but it wasn't
"it will be fine"
it really won't, last year we required a rb and cb, we got neither till it was too late.
this year we need a rb and 2 cb's - any mugs out there really think we are going to get them?
Ajer and Jozo will still be there and Jozo impressed me those 3 weeks he was in. Always a few games in then injured though
We need to buy one quality CB, will settle for someone else who's young and upcoming. Boyata will be off, Benkovic off and Hendry punted.
