Marco Asensio wants Manchester United move

It's the Jose Mourinho effect. They will all run for the hills now.

I'd love Asensio at United. Isco is a wonderful footballer but not sure where we fit him in, just like Coutinho. We don't really need another CAM.

Don't need any of those.

We need someone for the right hand side.

According to the notoriously unreliable Don Balon.

When you say right hand side do you mean a winger who will cross or a left footer to cut in and shoot?

Just seen this myself. Worse than the Daily Star.

Well, ideally someone who can do both.

We need crossbot replacements and fast. Young and Valencia are nearing the end of their productive lifespans and will soon need decommissioned. They are requiring too much maintenance for very little productive output. I think it is a good time to look at the latest advances in crossbot technology. We could be pioneers.

Can this Asensio chap not do that?

We have learnt the hard way that when Jesse Lingard is out, the tempo in attach diminishes.

We need a forward line with energy, movement and willing to press the ball for Ole's system to work. The nature of this style means having too many "flair" players who don't put a shift in will ruin our attacking output.

Lukaku is playing well as an individual, but it's to the detriment of Rashford and Pogba.

I don't know. Whenever I have seen him he has either played left or central, which is not where we need strengthened.

Quite like the flexibility we have under Ole. The 442 diamond has looked good some games and not so good others. However the 433 is definitely my preference.

Sancho or Pepe in the summer please Ed.

If.its not a specialist winger we need though and this Asensio can see / deliver a pass or shoot.drom the right then why not him?

Unless Paul Pogba leaves this summer, we've no real need for either Coutinho or Isco as much as I like them both.

Coutinho at Liverpool was always at his most dangerous in an advanced midfield role playing left of centre and Isco is probably best used in a similar role.

The equivalent on the right hand side would be somebody like Bruno Fernandes who we're being heavily linked with.

Wouldn't of thought he'd be what we need. Like mentioned above we need players who suite the style Ole wants to play and that right hand side is an area possibly lacking, especially in depth. I have high hopes for Dalot though whether he be fullback or winger. Her certainly seems to be able to pick out better balls into the box than Valencia and more variety.

Zidane will be Madrid's coach again apparently.

I'd love us to sign a David Silva, Messi, Hazard, type player to give us a bit of creativity and unpredictability.

If he can deliver a pass, shot, cross from the right, then why not. However, I have not seen evidence of this since I have not seen him play from the right. That doesn't make him the ideal candidate to strengthen there, does it?

It would be great but you wouldn't want it an the expense or hinderance of Martial and Pogba on the left. Someone comofrtable on the right would create better balance for the team, I don't think that's Asensio, Coutinho or Isco.

Players of this caliber you can work into a team, specially somebody like Hazard who would instantly transform our attack.

Asensio isn't that level and doesn't naturally a fit into our style.

If no idea what he can do other than being very highly thought of. I just can't think of many right wingers who can cross and shoot from the Right.

Me neither, but I hope the vast scouting network the club pays for can find a solution.

There are plenty of different right sided options out there who aren't Jadon Sancho:

Steven Bergwijn, Gelson Martins, Hirving Lozano, Nicolas Pepe, Leon Bailey and even Zaha for me is an option although people will disagree he can play off the right.

Asensio will be one of the world's best and would solve our RW problem. Posted before about him, all for it at the right price.

People keep talking Dalot up but I've seen little difference in his performances to Varela.
