I always find it interesting reading things like this. Been lots of Reading fans being very positive about our performance. This one less so.
I did summarise the key talking points in the OP though
The fact he seems to be suggesting that Leeds are an example of why it doesn't work growing talent through the academies is what broke the camels back.
Without our academy we wouldn't be anywhere near where we are this season
I know we can revel in the hatred we get from fans around the country but does anyone else find it bizarre the bitterness we get from fans of clubs like Reading?
It would make sense if we had actually been any good over the last decade or had any history with Reading.
I have a mate who's a Reading fan and he said to me we were the best side they had played this season.
Every club has a few 'special' fans
We have had the same core players for 3 years now. Jansson, Cooper, Phillips, Roofe, Ayling, Pablo, Berardi. Alioski and several others have been there for a couple of seasons. The 40 million Wolves model is laughable, we spent a lot on the christiansen side, Alioski, Saiz, Weidwald, Ekuban, Grot, Forshaw, Cibiki etc, this season we spent 13 million on 2 players although we sold 7 million Viera for that to happen.
Like you, I can't see why Reading and other fans sing anti Leeds songs and want us to do badly.
Everyone hates Leeds. Id rather be hated than ignored!
