Can we shed some blame on Parky, for the demise of Bradford in league one,😉

posted on 24/3/19

Its gone from bad to worse for Bradford since sacking Stuart McCall. Had 6 since then. Continually sacking managers isn't always the answer. What's the chances of parky keeping his job considering he got Bolton promoted last time?

Please no not Parky in L1 what would he do without Madine and his youth are best kept away policy. Sleepy Sammy best make arrangements to slope off as well

I think we could lose six or seven players and not miss them. Going back down to Division one after just managing to stay up last season shows the strength of the squad is not good enough.

If the potential owner is based in the UK I just hope that he's looking at long term ownership and is prepared to invest in the club. If reports are true that he/she has a major stake in a high-level football club. that has to give us hope that he can afford to do what is necessary to sort the club s problems

The critical point now is, will he/she complete the deal. Fingers, toes, arms crossed. I'd plat my hair if it was long enough.

Josh magennis only scored a goal

posted on 25/3/19

If Magennis carries on like that he could be worth as much as half a crown by the end of summer.
That will be after PP has told him to use that goal as a springboard to do it for us which of course won't happen.

Big Sam, indicating that he would like to be invited onto the board of directors if the new owner would offer him a role. It depends on who and what sort of owner we get but I would put that down to a positive.

He doesn't want to be in the dugout but I would think that he could bring some stability to the club as well as being a positive influence on both the manager and the players.

Bring it on!

It's all very quiet on the takeover front. cloak and dagger or smoke and mirrors.
Iles has nothing to spin either and Nixon making his own versions up as he goes.

The Beano are saving themselves for a payday special there are 2 versions the paid and unpaid already written.
There's been a no comment reply from the club after they we asked about the rumours Ken has left a special sealed note in the club safe to the local press to be handed over in the event a takeover is completed.

Will the season tickets payable by the 29/03/2019 be enough to pay Ken’s debts.

So in a court of law we told the judge we had a buyer but would need 14 days to complete a sale. 6 days later the owner of the club has stated 'talks are still ongoing with prospective buyers' plural. /. All this won't have gone unnoticed by the judge. 8 days and counting.

posted on 26/3/19

Another delay wouldn't be a problem provided something plausible and agreed is shoved in front of a judge on the 3rd
BUT....
The working week is not yet done so there's time this week PP could be thanking them if his press call is overshadowed then next week you normally rule out Monday as nobody does much except me on a Monday so there's Tuesday next week it could always be announced in court on Wed if its done and just needs filing paying etc.
Don't forget the 2nd adjournment is available if required which takes us nicely to the Hotels court date.

Some may say no news is good news but I'm worried that this supposed takeover will not transpire. We now have the local MPs getting involved. I'm not sure what they can do to resolve the problem at this stage. Still, it might be that they need a little relief from voting against Brexit.

I blame the interweb before it came along news was a lot simpler and quicker try explaining to those who have not known life without the interweb football gossip back in the olden days was for smoky pubs and standing on the terraces to hear about the latest possible signing you had to have a mate who's auntie lived next door to the family of the new striker we were after. Football highlights were on telly on a Sunday and Accrington Stanley were the only club to have ever gone bust came back to life thanks to two kids drinking full fat milk which was good for you.
It all changed with colour TV and the interweb a bloke called Ken turning up as the baddy Baron Silas Greenback in Danger Mouse went on to own Bolton Wanderers.

My father in law, God rest his soul used to play for Accrington Stanley. My brother in law has a telegraph informing him that he was playing in the next game. Team selection was obviously done differently at A/S in those days.

Let's hope that the Ken you mention, really is on his way out.

Accounts are due in by Sunday you've about as much chance of seeing them as you have of seeing a matchday bus waiting for you on Weston St after the Ipswich game a week on Saturday

Wednesday the only thing worthy of note today is its one week before the 3rd of April.

Taken from The Bolton News.
Moonshift are thought to have an option in the fine print of the £5million loan supplied by late owner Eddie Davies shortly before his death last September which allows them to take control of Anderson’s 94.5 per cent stake in Wanderers’ parent company, Burnden Leisure, if it goes into default.

Interesting snippet of news. I wonder what would happen if they actually did that.

Still no real news except that the University of Bolton Stadium claiming a UK-based bidder is closest to doing a deal.

Not very informative.

i mentioned that 5days ago here. Suspect the 14 days notice was given day before the court case
