No!
The officials are just absolute poverty.
"Bit of a statement I know, but is this happening in the game we all love ?"
Of course it is. And it's been happening for years now. Surprised people don't see it... You don’t run a multi BILLION £ industry and have no corruption "behind closed doors". This is big money we are dealing with here. Big money! If one is to believe everything is above board at all times then I have some snake oil for sale if you're interested…
I don't think that there is some unwritten agenda, it's just the human failings of the officials.
Players make mistakes which could or could not be disasterous.
Goalkeepers make mistakes which probably will be disasterous.
Match officials make mistakes which WILL prove to be disasterous.
As was the case today.
"I am not a conspiracy theorist or mad. I follow the game at matches
( season ticket holder ) and the TV and see these things every week"
Seriously you don't need to justify yourself. There are so many things that go on that these conspiracies that do go on - make no mistake about that - they no longer just are "theories". This sh!t is for real.
I remember how I.used to think the American version of Wrestling was real (used to always watch Dicky Davies World of Sport every Saturday for years and years). I know wrestling is acting now, everyone does, but that is just an obvious example. At the time I took it seriously. Other things might not be so blatant and in plain sight. But when we are playing at the top level in a multi million dollar industry, well, money talks, right? Come on now, you know this.
Money speaks all languages, including Double-Dutch.
Lets see if Wolves can keep the lead against Utd?
I'm not convinced that either penalty was justified. The Swansea player had a pretty spectacular fall but I think Delph got a touch on the ball, and I think maybe the Swansea defender may also have got a touch on the ball.

Ain't gna matter at the end of the day, they're facked.
How's this for coincidence, all 3 Premiere League games today had either a winning goal (or with Bournemouth Newcastle a win denied (draw) in the 90+ minutes?
Then in the FA Cup rounds, Man City score the winner in the 88th minute and OK so Man Utd didn't win (they must have read this thread) but they score in the 90+ 5 minute of the game. Only remaining game Watford score in the 79th minute, close but not touching the 90th minute.
Coincidence? Really?
The United`s and Pool`s of this world have the largest following, countless mugs have jumped on their `trophy bandwagons` of years gone by.
This means that the TV companies / media in general / FA / UEFA stand to make more money if said clubs are successful. A successful Pool or United means more subscribers, and a larger percentage of fans watching games and therefore generating more money.
The media in general will have a brief to create a positive spin regardless on United and Pool, it keeps subscribers subscribing and helps keep the money rolling in. Any sort of negativity surrounding these clubs could have a negative impact on the overall profitability of their cash cow.
It also influences referees, its why you very rarely see a penalty awarded against Pool or United, or they have a player sent off, they almost always are given the benefit of doubt.
We`ve witnessed corruption in Cricket, Snooker, Cycling etc, there is far more money involved in football, so I see no reason to suggest it does not go on in football also. One day hopefully all will revealed, and I reckon people will staggered when the truth comes out.
Basically if a top 6 club goes through the right avenues to complain about said official after the game then said official will more than likely be dropped or demoted. Whereas if a mid table team does the same likely nothing will happen.
Great article OP. Yesterday showed how the bigger clubs get all the contentious decisions go in their favour. City got two howlers from the ref go for them, which enabled them to win the match. In the Wolves v United match, the ref originally made the absolute correct decision by brandishing a red card for the United player, that came flying in with two feet clearly off the floor. Correct decision. And then what do we get VAR, laughably in this match, but not in the City match, and the ref then overturns his correct decision. Complete joke.

Also, you seem to ignore the Swansea penalty given it was similar to the one given to us.
Would you be this angry if the penalty decision had no bearing on the final result (assume we lost)? Or you are just using this as a stick to beat us?

I have said on many occasions that the Spurs goal should not have stood. Two wrongs do not make a right, the ref favoured City big time yesterday, and had those decisions been against City, you can bet your life Pep would have been all over it.

I facking hate responses like this. Juts because a decision goes against you should NOT mean that you are automatically given a decision later on.
Yesterday, City went through due to poor officiating. I don't blame City, its not their fault. But the sole reason they won was because of poor decisions. To then say "but you got a penalty 3 weeks ago" is what is wrong.
Tackle the problem, stop passing blame.
Also, it does not "even itself out". Arsenal have literally benefitted from decision the last 2 months and there has been only 1 decision I can think of to counter that. I don't want to watch a game where its all about who gets the most decisions in their favour.
I am NOT in favour of VAR either. I have always maintained that football is a universal game. It shouldn't be different from one game to another. VAR at one ground but not another is going to create a huge gap between the rich and poor clubs. It was highlighted slightly yesterday. But there will be a cut off for where VAR can't be used which I find unfair.

Typical City fan response. They think their sheite doesn’t stink, they’ve got an inferiority complex about their wealth - like a dustman who wins the euromillions. If you really wanna see some head in the sand, grade A deflecting and denial, just bring up some queries about the policies of their owners in the country they govern, or suggest that they’ve been financially doped into success.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Your club owner is also a billionaire just like ours.
If you are bitter because the sheikh is investing in our club hope you don't scream at your owners to spend some money seeing as you are against it.
On VAR, how did your club vote about its implementation before the start of the season?

Swansea's was nailed on Manc. Absolutely no question. Delph got done completely and got none of the ball.
City's was highly questionable for me and could easily have gone the other way. From the referee's position I can understand why he gave it and I don't think it was a clear and obvious error on his part.
But let's be honest here. The Swansea player did get the faintest of touches to the ball before he made contact with Sterling.
I make that 7 gifted penalties for dives for Pool this season so far, today v Fulham, v Palace, v Newcastle, v Brighton and 3 in the CL.
As well as several offside goals, the letting off of red cards and the refusal of referees to award a penalty against them.
