Why would you keep drawing attention on your own crime? If they'd done it, they would have want it to blow over. There's no way that you put up an act for 12 years and spend 11 million pound knowing its all bollox.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not 11 million of their own money ....
Donations and government money...
Oh , and some for them to live on, pay the mortgage etc on their mansion ......

Why? Because it's not sensationalist? It's pretty good actually.

Just thought it was pretty poorly done and was carried by the interesting subject

Clearly you're a big fan though

Have to say over the years i had fallen into the 'yeah they are guilty as feck' way of thinking but you only have to look at the missus to see she is absolutely devastated and in bits in the days afterwards.

The only way it could be suspect is if when she went back to check she found her daughter dead for some reason but even then how the hell would they have gotten the body out of there given the reaction was immediate unless their friends were all involved.

Sadly it looks like the women who went to check saw her being carried away but didn't think anything of it.

Would be interested to hear the theories from those who think the parents are responsible, on how the body was disposed.

Agree it was poorly done and tbh boring.

They obviously didn’t have enough material so throw in rubbish to pad it out

I saw Kate smiling in a picture on Facebook and my kid scraped it's knee once and I wasn't smiling then

Maddies DNA was found in the back of a car that had been hired by her parents ...........the car being hired some days after Maddies disappearance.

So they stuck her in the car, raised the alarm and just hoped nobody would check the car?

Or are you saying they had accidentally killed her earlier and disposed of her but then carried on as normal and just hoped the guy who went to check the kids didn't look to see if a child was missing?

I haven’t watched the current documentary on Netflix.
I have however read and watched virtually everything relating to this case...... the banned book ( the McCanns threatened the English translation publishers and Amazon if a English version was published or sold , even through Amazon.) , this book is the one to read by the Senior investigating officer......
My view, the body was hid , until things quietened down, and than the body moved , hence the DNA found in a car that was hired by her parents many days after she disappeared.
For the parents to have direct conversations with British prime ministers , and prime ministers allowing more money to be spent on this case needs to be looked at......they seem to have influence on politicians especially in government.

The Deleted Phone Records

.........Why would she selectively delete everything up to Thursday 3rd May 2007 with the exception of one wrong number and what was her reason for deleting three of the four calls, between 23.14 and 23.17, from her husband on that critical night?.
A possible answer is that she wished to avoid alerting the PJ to evidence that details of around 40 calls had been erased and she felt happier leaving something uncontroversial (or misleading) in memory for them to find.
Another answer is that, unsurprisingly, she was under the most extreme stress imaginable following the disappearance of her daughter: but why, in that case, give priority to deleting anything.
It is the last thing most parents would think about in the circumstances........

Goncalo Amaral is a muppet. He was under investigation for another case where he put all blame on the parents for a missing child when he got the McCann case

Started watching it this morning, but found it to disturbing to watch the worst thing that can possibly happen to a parent.
From what I hear it does seem like it was a abduction rather than a McCann cover up. I did see enough to hear Jerry say that leaving their kids in the apartment was similar to having dinner in their back garden, whilst their kids were in their rooms. Similar my ar.e
I'd love to wake up one day and hear that Madeline has been found, but the chances are slim to never, unfortunately.

Somebody at the resort was involved. They were the only ones who knew the kids were left unsupervised.

Leaving your kids drugged whilst going out with friends, not answering a bunch of questions that could help with the dissappearance and frankly profiteering from the whole event. Something is incredibly dodgy here.

Also why do people seem to accept that these Netflix documentaries are some source of the truth? They were created by a TV company to make money, nothing more nothing less.

disgraceful from them but seen it myself abroad with British families being drunk and no idea where they young kids are or what they are doing. They were the unlucky ones and will have to live with what they did but they certainly deserve NO sympathy
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They deserve to be done for negligence like anybody else would be.

The kids got Calpol.

There are people interviewed in the Docu that have a reputation, like Jim Gamble, a highly respected police officer. He changed his stance from guilty to not guilty. Why is Scotland Yard not following up in the inquiry line that indicates the parents did it?

This is exactly my thoughts. A tv show designed to keep the viewer guessing. Can’t take it as gospel.

A daughter drugged by her parents and overdosed. Even if it was an accident they would lose their doctors and GP license whilst still having to raise two other children. There’s definitely a motive.

Also those saying explain how she can be so distraught in pictures and videos, she’s just lost her daughter be it through abduction or accidental death. Will take it’s toll on Anyone. Horrible situation either way you look at it.
