New CM - No way would I pay the money RM will ask for a an average player like Kovacic- why spend that money on him anyway, to help them fund a move for Hazard, plus hopefully we won't be in a position to sign him anyway? How about Gilmour/McEkkers?

New ST - pretty much cattle trucked here. Abraham the only option with Giroud.

All that is assuming the transfer ban is enforced!

Not that I want him but I'm assuming if the ban is enforced it would apply to loans as well?

I haven’t a clue how it works Brummie, that’s why I’ve just gone for what we should do if we can make signings.

Kovacic is better than average, I would have him over Barkley. He hasn’t always been at his best for us but he’s solid and will improve. More than adequate rotation player, doesn’t have to be a regular starter.

Agreed he's better than Barkley but still not the standard we should be looking at.

If he's the best we can get Randy, I'd personally much rather look at investing some time in youth players.

Plus as I said, I don't want us filling the coffers of the parasites from Madrid for them to fund a bid for Hazard.

come off it. Jorginho has had bad games but he’s nowhere near as bad as often as Alonslow. And he’s only a new player as well, Alonso has been here nearly 3 years and only really works in a system we no longer play.

Alonso makes mistakes but he's overall decent. Have Emerson as well. Wouldn't sell either, especially when there's no standout replacement. At the start of the season most Chelsea fans said Alonso was the best LB in the league.

Wouldn't sell Jorginho either, just keep him as back up.

I’m not sure either of Alonso/Emerson are capable of being top LBs, so I prefer to keep Emerson as I think he’s better and is younger so can improve.

What type of CM would you go for Randy, someone to compete/start over RLC? I like RLC but I’d also be inclined to get someone to compete with him, a goalscoring mid. Not sure of any names though

I berate Alonso a lot but he would be fine as back up, however you’re right Emerson can at least improve, and Alonso is our 4th highest paid player + probably has enough hype around him still could get a good price for him.

I note your squad has no space for Ampadu. I’d be fine with him going on loan but I think he’d be a popular choice from fans for him to stay as back up CB

New CF someone like Jovic would be perfect, someone young, world class potential, Higgy/Giroud and Abraham as back ups. I’d just worry Tammy doesn’t get much game time in that set up but I want him back in squad though

Yes BK I would probably expect the CM to be someone of the RLC type, someone who can get goals. I wouldn’t be against keeping Ampadu in the squad I just worry about his gametime if Luiz stays on which seems likely. Jovic could be the perfect signing up front, but apparently Barca want him so it would be a hard signing to make.

I would sign a new number 2 and let Caballero go, Angus Gunn or Sergio Rico maybe.

I don't know why people list Green as 3rd choice, he's 4th choice if not 5th.

Ideally we’d have a new CB plus Rudiger, Christensen and Ampadu. That would probably be a perfect set of options. But as I say doesn’t seem like Luiz will be gone just yet so Ampadu would miss out.

Think our first choice pair needs a bit of an improvement and Luiz is getting on a bit so he’d be the one I’d replace.

I have always championed Werner,but apart from the fact that Bayern seem to have first option,I saw him last night for Germany ,and he was bloody awful,

He's basically covers for the youth keepers as the 3rd on a matchday when they have a youth game. Whenever Kepa's been injured it's been Bulka or Cumming on the bench.

Also I think we should definately give Ampadou more chances,he's part of our future and is quite adaptable for other positions as well.
