Why if we lose one game should we just give up when we have lots of beatable teams to come is beyond me.

As for concentrating on the CL we have a weeks break before the first leg V city while they have a fa cup semi so there’s not need to throw league games.

Seems like a depressing article for no reason here

We're going to win the league with a bit to spare remember?

As for the CL, we'll win that too.

That was lot of words to say we haven't played in a while, our form is crap, we are pretty much where most of us expected us to be (fighting for top 4) and a CL QF is gonna be difficult !

Fingers crossed we come back from this break with batteries recharged and injuries behind us ready & focused for whatever lays ahead

Don't have to try, he does it all himself

I think this is a great article, and agree with everything said. I would much rather play Pool away now, straight after the break, then in 3 or 4 games time. Don't get me wrong, it's not a 'free hit' in the truest sense of the phrase. We need points and we have a team capable of causing them problems. But in this specific match, I feel that they'll be feeling the pressure more than us. I'm hoping that shows.

You seemed to take my comment too seriously. It was a throwaway, tongue-in-cheek comment, playing on the curse of any Spurs supporter (and any football fan in general). When we lose, the whole team is rubbish and we might as well just give up on everything. When we win, everything is right with the world.

Probably a bit too much doom and gloom in the article, but that's my default position when Tottenham are in the doldrums. It doesn't happen anywhere near as much these days, and I fully appreciate that we're a very good team under Poch, but it's not unusual to start questioning things a bit more when we've had a run of form like we've just had.

I'm sure we'll bounce back soon enough. Hopefully with a win at Anfield.

Break may have done us good. Poch and the players will hopefully have got the bad form out of their minds and can treat it like a fresh start where we're in a good position in the league and in a CL QF, so still a chance to have a great season.

Get a positive result v Liverpool and I see us pushing on what with the new stadium etc. Lose against Liverpool and it’s going to be a real struggle. Our form is diabolical and a loss would be 4 losses from 5. Relegation form that. We need to get a result against Liverpool, despite me not having any hope we can, but you got to hope I guess.

You obviously need a good result against Liverpool otherwise, it might just dampen expentation at the new White Hart Lane.

Talk about us being nervous then just imagine how much they are bricking it!!

If Spurs score first or we keep them at bat for 20 mins I can see them becoming jittery and can see them wobble.
We need to do a professional job on them.

It’s up to them to attack us and that will suit us👍

It’s not over as conclusions.

We need to do a job on them. Personally I would set us up similar to the way we played in Dortmund and just pray they don't finish their chances in the inevitable first 20 min onslaught.

Get past that and I think we can nick it.

That's a good plan, actually. That was a really good away performance overall. Strong, resilient, professional and clinical.

lanespurs3 I think it's the only way mate, they will come at us 100mph from kick off and we can't be open at the back or it will be 2-0 by 20 mins!

Good article lanespurs3

I notice however that you stated quite a few reasons for letting the chasing pack catch Spurs up for the race for Top Four, but did not state what I consider the obvious, and that is the poor team selection by the manager. It has been mentioned how well the team played in Dortmund, so why change a winning team. Resting Toby, Son and Aurier for the Southampton match, when Spurs did not have a game for nearly three weeks was ridiculously stupid.

Well you could see this spell coming. Yes the team was up for the CL games with Dortmund - scraped thru the group but came together later on. But look at the league results ....
Lucky wins against Cardiff, Wolves, Newcastle, Palace early on , a draw with Watford, and yes we beat the old ManU (but we don't beat the new ManU).
Most of these games could easily have gone the other way, we were not dominant. I think Pochettino was shepherding us along on a shoe string of nothing from Levy.
Well the truth finally came home, getting kicked out of both Cups and also with losses to Wolves, Manu, Chelsea and a draw with the Arsenholes.

We dropped from "chasing for the title" to lucky to hold on to fourth spot!

Not Pochettino's fault. Its Levy's fault pure and simple.
Sandy tries to blame Poch and he's been hauled over the coals by all on this board over that stupid idea.
Just look at the squads ManCity and Liverpool have, and ManU too, and appreciate what Pochettino had done with last season's personnel.

Now we have to face ManCity in the CL, our last chance of glory to save this season from being a farce!
And we compare again the two squads - as many on this board are doing, and wish, just wish Levy had given Pochettino a little more to play with.

Sooner Levy & Lewis sell this club, the sooner real Spurs fans may have something to rejoice about.

Wishfully I hope we end up like ManCity - capable of winning everything!
But that won't happen under Levy & Lewis, will it?
