We should know about that. Any sniff of cash and we are in there.

Wolves have been great this season. One of the best promoted sides we’ve seen, even if they spent well to get it. Play good footy, if this helps their profile, why not.

If Wolves play in the Europa League next season, especially in the qualifying games, then they will need a bigger squad than they have at the moment. But in terms of volumes of games pre season then I would just see those games replacing the usual meaningless friendlies we tend to play. The teams we will meet in those games will tend to be from the lower standard leagues around Europe but the main bug bear along with the trip to China will be the travelling, which can be tiring in itself. And all the time travelling is time not spent on fitness and prep work

The curse of being a premier league club. All the money in the world, but you want to increase it, so have to play these silly tournaments.

Can’t gave it both ways if you want to maximise already enormous wealth (that gives you a huge advantage over 90% of other euro teams), especially if you want to compete with the other established prem elite.

Ah, money.

Get some decent quality squad players and use them all in the early rounds. Even in the group stage there is still a lot of dross left.

We need to spend big in the summer. I can see us investing about £200 million all told, including the likes of Raul.
