This type of comment and attitude really annoys me. The idea that anyone can get into any job and all you needed was the right connection to make it happen. Nobody gets employed anymore without qualifications and anyone who says any different is lying.
The job market is a tough place and has been for years. Everyone is now pushed into student debt to get a piece of paper to maybe get an interview. Nobody from previous generations were put under that pressure.
A degree equals 4 years minimum of organized studies and examinations. It’s not for nothing and anyone who comes out the other end, I say, good on them. I agree there are too many powder puff courses where academia is a strange concept but many great minds were molded by our education system.

You can obtain degree qualifications in less than three years.
