Good effort

Kane doesn’t even make the top 10.

And why wouldn’t the BBC have articles on the table topppers? Not to mention the fact that it was the only game of the night.

Fastest player to 50 goals is an incredible achievement - especially when you consider that he had 49 about 6 weeks ago.

Anyone got an answer as to why a load of Spurs fans are so bothered by the media all the time?

Read a book instead you dunce.

Another Spurs fan upset after our results last night

Liverpool may get to 90 odd points and still not win the league. The bottom line is nobody ever remembers runners up no matter how many points they get. Whether they get 70 or 90 is completely irrelevant. Everybody only remembers the winners.

Well there's your answer op!

The live text said 'Liverpool go back to the top of the league' when they equalised last night.

They were still second at that point.

Kane would have been on 49 goals in 86 and given that he didn't score in August the next season, it would have been a bit more than that, so yeah he'd not be on the list for good reason.

Hardly a shock to see articles on a title chasing side when they were playing in and won the only game of the day.

But to answer the question about Kane am sure it took him about 90 games to reach 50 goals. Still not bad.

My mistake, it would have been 49 from 83 but excluding August the following season.

Worth noting that Kane started out as a youngster and it usually always takes a while to get going. Took Messi near 100 games to get to 50 goals.

I've got no problem with the BBC covering Liverpool so much while they're close to winning a historic first PL. It's understandable and makes a change from them being an online Man United fanzine.

Why aren't the BBC lying and putting our 'Arry in the top ten quickest to 50 goals in the PL?!

Think Liverpool will win it.

Spurs had a bit of media coverage when the cheese dome opened the other night , we all said how nice it was , so stop feeling so insecure 😟 lads .

In that it says in his first 50 games for Spurs he scored 20 goals, in his next 50 he scored 27.

47 goals in 100 games.

It’s also worth noting that Salah isn’t actually a striker and isn’t Liverpool’s designated penalty taker.

Thanks for the ( positive ) responses guys. Yeah I guessed Kane starting as a youngster did slow his rate down at the beginning. After all Salah was the finished article when he started a Liverpool.

Also impressive that he’s 3rd behind Shearer and RVN for quickest to 50 goals in PL history.

That's all appearances though for Kane, not just PL appearances. For the PL only it's 50 in 87 according to that site.

So that’s why he’s not on the bbc list.

I don’t get the article to be honest, Liverpool are the only side battling away with City and if the roles were reversed I’d be shouting Spurs to win it.

Ordinarily I'd be ok with Liverpool winning the league over City, but it would be quite damning for us if they did given we've been finishing above them regularly over the last 10 years and they will have done what we should have done in all that time to get us to winning a title. Plus we'd never hear the end of it from you lot. Then again, if we end up winning the CL, I wouldn't care.

I think there’s a lot of JA606 posturing that doesn’t represent reality.

Spurs and Liverpool fans on here are constantly backbiting and so there’s unlikely to be much open support for each other but away from the forum, over a pint, you might see a different outcome.

Certainly true of the fans I know around London, in terms of them backing Liverpool over City.

Never had a problem with Spurs as a club, they have always played decent football, or the majority of its fans.

Some of them on here are utter caants though. We had Ace just last night saying people from Liverpool are scvm, that Puffin the Kangaroo weirdo making comments about Hillsborough earlier this week. As well as past comments about Hillsborough & Heysel.

The majority though are sound. It’s just the idiot minority that shout loudest and drown out the decent fans.
