Ole vs Pogba

Masabumi Hosono survived the Titanic, but not the public’s scorn

So RM's mouthpiece and PSG's mouthpiece are both saying Pogba wants to go to their clubs. Reliable.

Ole already said in the Press conference the other day he doesn't see Pogba playing anywhere else

Be a shame if he goes as he's our most productive player but we've lost better players in the past, IF the rumours are true I just hope it doesn't drag out through the whole summer giving us little time to sort out replacements

Expecting a report in BILD any day now saying he's off to Bayern.

People who want to believe this stuff will believe it.

Better just to wait until the summer, if he goes, he goes... If he stays and gets a payrise, then he will need to really become the player he can be.

Le Parisien is quoting AS. It’s not their story.

I've no doubt he could score and create an awful lot of goals for us if we had other players in midfield that were at his level.

His price tag means he will naturally come in for more criticism but imo he's no less consistent than the likes of Rashford and Martial.

We already need to improve a good number of our regular starters, without selling one of our best players.

Lets see how he does next season with hopefully more players suited to how Ole wants us to play, a proper right sided attacker and a top CM/DM.

Our whole team would look better if we had more of an attacking threat from wide areas, it would open teams up so much more and give midfield more of an option to create.

Not bothered either way on this one. If he stays then hopefully with some new recruits and a more psoitive mindset we will see a better Pogba. If he leaves, we'll get shed loads of money and be able to re-invest into some young hungry players.

I'm more bothered about Young replacement, Herrera replacement, a new CB coming in and a winger joining.

He'll never be consistent. World class players rarely have 4-5/10 games and he does. If I were a United fan I'd want rid. For the 90 odd million you'd get, you can bring in a player that at the very least plays like he wants to be there.

He's been pretty consistent for France and was for Juve... Why are people already forgetting the mess Jose made? Ole was never gonna get us on track within half a season.

If he wants to leave let him go, he will command a massive fee. On his day he's unplayable but his day doesn't happen often enough.

Ole has to be given time to sort out the mess he was left, so many players that aren't good enough

Tbf taking nothing away from pogba, but anyone looks good in that France side.

He’s an odd player, a few 4/10 performances then a blinder. Then more 4/10’s. No real inbetweens.still our best creative force. I think he’s always had a plan to go to Spain, but maybe not this quickly.

Isn't that what we hope to build for UTD?

Strikes me odd that people are like "we need 6 key players... we are light years behind X,Y,Z".... Yet still think that Pogba should be a 9/10 player each week.

I'm not gonna cry if the guy leaves, but if we can build a team around him with players that will compliment him, it's a very good starting point.

Thing is, I don’t think he’s a player that will be here for the bulk of his career, he’s ambitious and will have eyes on Spain imo. So whilst I agree on paper it sounds a good idea, we may end up finding ourselves looking for a replacement for the man we build the team around.

Pogba was embarrassing yesterday next to Fred and Scott. He definitely did not look like the 90m pound player

I wouldn't say embarrassing. He was the poorest of the 3 midfielders but I'd say he was still among our top 5/6 players on the night. Didn't have a shocker by any means.

Definitely don't agreed with this. Fred and Scott better. DDG, Smalling and Lindelof all better, Dalot better. He was up there with Lukaku and Rashford. Ashley Young league of his own. Embarrassing really our most expensively player is among " top 6 players on the night."

We wouldn;t be specifically building a team around him though, but around that calibre of player.

If he wants out... The same applies, we use that money to buy a top quality CM (or two) to begin building a future around.

Great players do it on any stage in all conditions, Pogba doesn't. What he does have is bags of talent, and gives another dimension to the team. We've paid the money so keep him if he wants to stay.
In arguments with managers I always back the manager. Fergie always won and I respected that so give the same privilege to Ole.

Do they though?

Stick the likes of Pogba or Hazard in a team full of top players and they will likely perform in most games. Stick them in teams that are in transition and they become more hit and miss.

Most great players are in great teams. It tends to help!

Gerrard played in average teams all his life mostly and didn't have as many off days as Pogba does. Liverpool finished miles behind top spot in most of his seasons there too.

He's definitely got something missing from his locker. I don't think he tries hard enough some games. Seems to coast through them.

Won't care if he stays or leaves tbh. Seen much better than him leave this club before.
