If Mustafi keeps his concentration for the first two goals, we probably win yesterday.

It's a game of fine margins. Unfortunately the air between mustafi's ears was too much for us to claw back.

We won’t win another game this season without Ramsey probably, I’m usually always unrealistically optimistic

He did underestimate Palace. Most fans saw the danger in that lineup as we aren't new to this league. He gets a pass on this one for me as he hasn't done much wrong, and the drop off in quality to towards the back end of our squad is massive.

Still I wonder why he thought it impossible to keep our XI consistent for the remaining games. I'd rather have gone all in game by game at this stage. These players are capable of 2 games a week.

Suicidal team selection. Guendouzi and Elneny wouldn't be starting a premier league game for any teams in the top 10 so why have both of these players started in 2 of our last 3 premier league games.

Yesterday game was as important as Napoli away but Emery has clearly prioritized Europa over the league which is wrong for me.

Now from being one of the worst away performers in the league, we have to now be one of the best to have any chance of getting top 4 via the league.

At home of late we have controlled games, presses and dominated.

However, by selecting the players Emery did yesterday, he basically levelled things up for Palace and they were going through our Mf with ease

It is easy to understand the team selection tbf.

Leno - #1
Koscielny, Mustafi, Mavropanos. The only other options were switch to a back 4 or Monreal. Monreal has had a few injuries, and is getting on. I am sure his fitness needs to be managed.

Jenkinson - only other option was AMN who has been suffering with fitness issues.

Kolasinac - 1st choice LWB

Elneny, Guendouzi - Torreira is not 100% and is being eased through the fixture congestion. No other real options.

Front 3 were our big name players .

Before the game I was expecting Iwobi and Mhki to start, only 1 of Auba and Laca, but pretty much guessed the rest.

Our record after EL away games is very good I believe, and Emery probably felt home advantage would get us through. We had enough of the game to win, just bad errors from a player who would have started in the best xi available.

I think yesterday's result will cost us top 4.

Yeah I think yesterday game is something that will cost us in the end.

Could have afforded potentially to lose one more away game but losing a home game is criminal

Mustafi rightly getting a lot of blame but I really feel Guendouzi performance in centre of park really set tone for rest of team. Gave the ball away 50% of time, can't pass can't shoot, ruined the great aubameyang cross at end of by needlessly fouling. He genuinely looked like an average Sunday league player amongst Premier league players

And what does this say about next season? This club is failing in its ownership, in the front office, on the sidelines and on the field. Otherwise, things are just fine!

If you’re an upcoming cb like Zac Medley, you gotta be wondering how someone like Mustafi keeps getting these opportunities and messing up badly. Why doesn’t the guy ever learn, such easy errors aswell. It will be a victory when he leaves, he’s a top park footballer at best.

It's the same as when Wenger was here underperforming players always gets into the team no matter what, and the biggest problem is Emery won't have the money like Utd to replace the deadwood so we are stuck with them and not getting CL football is Suicide.

I just don’t understand how he was given a new deal and huge pay rise, surely at board level they should realise we need to cut below average players on big money out of the squad. He’s on par with Stepanovs ,maybe worse. This club is making more and more bizarre decisions. Letting Ramsey leave for free, giving new deals to Mustafi and other average players. Not a lot making sense anymore.

Who ever is in charge of players contacts must have 0 knowledge about football, just just look at them continuing to give Wenger a new contract for years and years even though he was getting worse and worse.

Agree and it's frustrating because Elneny is just s/-/it - he can't help it and should have never been signed, I can only assume Emery is playing him to put him in the shop window but realistically we should terminate his contract and let him go for free (well apart from the compensation). Guendouzi however showed so much promise at the start but has seriously regressed in the second half of the season and I'm starting to worry whether he really has the ability to make it as a top CM now. His footballing brain/thought process seems to be too slow and he frequently gets caught on the ball and gives it away cheaply putting us under pressure because that usually happens when we're pushed up the field and he's behind play allowing the other team to counter with a man or more advantage.

Lately it's more like Guendozy than Guendouzi tbh.

Guendouzi is a teenager from Ligue 2. Bound to struggle in his first season. Talent is there though.

Guendouzi has already started too many games for my liking

Should be a regular in the cup competitions, not in the prem

90% pass success from 86 passes (so 8 giveaways)
5 accurate long balls from 5 attempts. 2 key passes.

Ozil and Guendouzi were the ones pushing us forward. Lack of movement ahead of them was a big problem.

I'm sorry but I don't buy this excuse of being new to the league. As if that means he can't have watched Palace at all over the last few years... or watched Arsenal before he started the job... or had access to hours of video footage and stats and an experienced coaching staff to advise him that the likes of Zaha and yes, Christian f*cking Benteke, are quite likely to be dangerous to us???
