Sorry-don’t realise it was being discussed on another thread.
Wee Bertie will be getting his Stevie Chalmers quips ready as we speak. Tbf, saw one of his belters last night about John Fallon 'he's the only goalkeeper I know who uses the nets to stop the ball'
RIP Stevie.
Sad that another lion rests.
For those of you old enough these guys possibly gave you one of the best memories of your lives.
I'm sure they he will be well remembered and in that way doesn't really die
Sad news.
Their 5's team up there can have rolling subs now.
Another sad day for Celtic and football.
Rest in peace Stevie.

Agree lex-they’re at an age now where it’s inevitable over the next few years.
Very little consolation for the family admittedly.
My first stadium tour many years ago.....waiting on our guide and Stevie Chalmers turned up.....remember my dad being star struck but great guy with no airs or graces. Scored the most important goal in Scottish football history....the winner in the only time any team from here will win the biggest club prize of all. Great thing to be remembered for RIP

Aye it’s brilliant stuff from back in the day? 👍
I've never watched the Feyenoord or Porto final back...funny that.
Assume they were Arthur Montford and Archie MacPherson commentaries, Arthur was a well spoken man but maybe not quite as posh sounding.

Brilliant. He had Gemmell shooting from 25 yards when he was in the 'd' and the ball was on the 18 yard line
Mate of mine played a couple of games with Stevie for Thistle reserves in 74/75. Said he was a perfect gent. There were a couple of other Tims in the squad at the time and were all in awe of one of their genuine heroes. He said Stevie must have reckoned we all go about with our mouths open.
