Must say hats off to both Pool & Spurs. Hope we can make it an all English affair in Europa League too - but not sure.

Ironically Moura was one of PSG's first major signings after they won the lottery

All those seasons in the CL, all the money it bought in. Feels like every single penny was either utterly wasted or syphoned off.

Just goes to show Wenger might have been a great innovator, but even at his peak he was an average manager.

Will be a disgrace if Spurs win the CL. It will end any talk of Wenger being one of the greats of the game.

Poch has done an amazing job on very little net spend and instilled a great mentality in the team. When fans blame Kroenke for where we are you just need to look at Spurs and the signings they made and how we've wasted our cash!

Just look at how he has transformed Sissoko. Would have him all day long over dross like xhaka and Guendouzi

Aye, fair play to them and Poch. CL final with zero spending.

Said the exact same thing. It will seriously show Wenger up for the fraud he was. And let’s face it, the fact we’re even typing this? Is because we’re s***ting ourselves knowing they might actually do it. Embarrassing stuff.

Moura is a top top player

Don't write Emery off. His first season is pretty similar to Poch's. He has definitely made you more competitive and I think you will improve with him.

Wenger's first decade was fantastic, then it all went downhill. For his first decade I wouldn't describe Wenger as average. He predicted the unbeaten run in 2002 and achieved it in 2004, you can't do that if you are average.

To be fair to Wenger teams like Barca, Madrid and Bayern were in peak mode during his time.

Pep Barca team was as it good as it gets

Just remembered it was Emery who sold him to us

Average is harsh, I’ll admit.

However with the teams he and Dein put together, he should have won the CL at least once, if not twice. And no back-time-back titles?

Two massive holes in his legacy right there, before we even start discussing his overseeing our slide into what we became under him.

Now I know where all of Kane's hat-tricks have gone. Lucas has stolen them.

Idiotic comment from an idiot no doubt. We are talking about some of the best teams we have ever seen in the modern era that Wengers teams were competing with. Quite frankly the quality around Europe has been shocking hence why its looking like 2 all English finals. Spurs have had an insane amount of luck too, outplayed by both ajax and City

Fancy calling 3 times title winner and record winning fa cup winner Wenger a fraud because spurs made a final 😂 their first in over a decade

I agree he should have achieved a lot more. But I think Wenger was more focused on domestic success than in Europe, which admittedly is a negative. One of his biggest blunders imo was carelessly dismantling the Invincibles without a proper plan for transition because I still believe some of those players were good enough to take us to the next phase. For instance, I feel Vieira would have been a huge asset for us in the CL final.

The European elite are as weak as they have ever been in comparison to the Premier League. Wenger had to compete against some top quality opposition. The only year where you could say he messed up was 2003/04, where all we had to do was beat Chelsea, and it was ours.

Yup, Moura was great value, I thought he would be a brilliant addition but we weren't even in for him.

In the past I always thought our scouts & the hapless Wenger must know more than we do when it comes to such specific signings but over the years I have come to the conclusion that they were just sh|t at recruitment...
