having lost last season ,we should ultra determined to win this CL ,changing room or no changing room

More pressure.

Cant be losing finalists twice on the trot.

7 losing finals on the bounce for Klopp. That would be unthinkable.

97 points in the league, way ahead of Spurs, but no trophy.

'changing room or no changing room' , pressure is on Liverpool

They're just happy to be there

Fluked a win v ajax the much better team full of kids

Small club mentality

Same reason they'll never win a big trophy

The fans on here, manager crying, embarrassing stuff. Keep it up tinytotts

Both teams will be under pressure. I doubt Spurs players will prepare for their biggest game ever thinking we’ve got a free hit here lads.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Indeed, massive moment in all their careers. No one needs motivating. its huge. Some might crumble.

I think that having the underdog tag adds another level to feed into the motivation, it just adds that little bit extra. The teams are pretty well matched so it could make the small % difference.

It also adds a different focus.....rather then focusing on winning or not losing, its a focus on proving others wrong. In all walks of life this can be an extremely powerful motivating factor, and it actually takes focus away from the prospect of winning or losing which can be overwhelming.

“The point is the 'home' team should have the 'home' dressing room.”

As WelshXavi said our fans are in the end where the home dressing room is. Yours are in the end where the away dressing room is. It’s be a bit daft having the Spurs team have to enter the stadium where our fans are and vice versa.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

This is just an example of shocking organisation.

I do not see any harm from the away fans being sat in the end where the home teams dressing room is. Theres no access to the dressing room for fans.

They have clearly set up their procedures in terms of how fans access the stadium, how it will all be policed, the route that 'away fans' and 'home fans' will have to take to the stadium and they'll be kept apart as much as possible. No doubt tickets are printed......then they've realised that actually the home fans will be sat nearest the away dressing room and vice versa, and its too late to change it all around because everything is organised....easiest thing to do is to swap dressing rooms but rather than saying "for saftey reasons" they should be saying that in organising the event and access to and from the stadium we made a fecking great error and allocated the wrong end to each team and its too late to change it all now! It might be a safety issue but if they had planned properly it would not have been.

Incompetent UEFA !
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Apparently it's because there are two separate entrances for the home and away players, so they don't want the Liverpool coach entering by the spurs fans and vice versa.

You'd have thought uefa would have thought of this before the final though.

Indeed...simple case of:

- who's the home team? Spurs.
- ok, where do they enter the stadium? North end.
- Right then, their fans had better be sat in that end!

I do wonder if the Man City coach attack has perhaps influenced this. Perhaps previously happy to accept such 'safety issues' but not now that theyve seen what LFC fans do to opposition coaches.

Spurs are under no pressure at all. It's already seen as one of their greatest achievements to make the final.

Will the players actually go in there thinking they're underdogs though? Spurs and Liverpool have been very evenly matched in head to head games over the last few years. This season you came to Anfield and battered us second half. I don't think Spurs players will be going in thinking there is much difference between the two teams. I certainly don't think the whole "prove everyone wrong" thing comes into it. I've seen as many people say it's 50/50 as I have say Liverpool will win it.

I think smart managers and players will use whatever they have to get themselves in the very best mindset. Those saying its 50/50 are either LFC fans not looking to put pressure on themselves or Spurs fans/pundits being hopeful.

There will be different voices in the dressing room - some saying we need not feel inferior we are their equal etc but i suspect there will also be the ones who will use LFCs supposed superiority as a motivation. Even if it hasnt be said publically, you can imagine someone saying "Liverpool will think theyre better than us, they've been here before, they think they are entitled to be here and expect to win....etc Lets fecking show them"

LFC can't really have the same chat in their dressing room.

I'm not even sure that it's MoPo's style to talk about being underdogs / we'll show them / seige mentality.

Genuinely no idea though. Would love to see a Poch changing room team talk.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Most of the talking is done on the training ground and in meetings before the game though. I don't think the next 3 weeks are going to be spent with the coaches telling the players they are underdogs. Saying that and the players actually buying into it are two different things. If you're play Madrid or Barca, then maybe. The two sides have played each other so many times and each game (bar the 4-1 last season) have been close. I think it's very difficult to actually tell a team for 3 weeks that they are underdogs, when the players themselves know full well that they've gone to Anfield the last two seasons and been then better team in both games.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

We are underdogs. Fact

But underdogs is also about perception...we do not have to feel like underdogs but will be aware that we are perceived as such. The motivation will be to fight against that perception to prove we are your equal.

You hear Poch interviews this weekend, he talked about people doubting Spurs would be top 4, doubting we would make progress in the UCL. His motivation of us might not be just based on it but i certainly thinks he takes pride in achieving things that are not necessarily expected of us.

Either way, if Spurs lose then well done Liverpool regardless. No pressure

Agreed - these are elite level players, if you can't get motivated for a CL final then you've got a real problem. The underdog/favourite thing won't play any part imo, it'll be which team handles the occasion the best and is able to play the best football.

As for the changing rooms, UEFA absolutely should have considered this in advance but ultimately it doesn't really matter. The game will be won and lost on the pitch, not who has the most comfy seat at half time.

I'm fine with it. there is a feeling that this is liverpools party and we are lucky to be invited, and oh how sweet it will be when we tear up the script. rubbish changing rooms will be a reminder to the players that we are the underdog and need to put everything on the line !
