The funny thing is City fans don’t care about the Champions League but it’s a huge reason the players and manager they have joined the club
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Their reaction to Sterling's disallowed winner says otherwise.

A ban won't do them any damage. They'll just stick to winning the local trophies. So say goodbye to any chance of winning FA or LC cups

Unless you're Spurs and knockk them out in semis

UEFA and The Court of Arbitration must stand up to the likes of City. The arrogance of the owners and the damage being done to most other clubs is staggering. I am just so proud of the Spurs for putting an end to their CL aspirations through sheer guts and determination (and thanks also to VAR)!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Damage?
You guys mugged us off with the £45m Walker fee.
That deal did not seem to cause Spurs any damange
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We didn't want to sell him. The fee reflected that.If you were pre-Sheikh-City you couldn't afford £15m for him and he wouldn't have wanted to leave to join a bottom half club without a pot to pi55 in. With Chelsea, you are the best at demonstrating that money cannot buy class. You lack humility, you wanted Walker and money was no object. If Levy had asked for £60m the Sheikh would have taken it out of his bedside table draw. No work involved.

Agreed, Walker would not have touched City with a bargepole before the money arrived, as would not most of their current squad. That transfer was all about money.

Money has ruled the game since forever, so I can’t get too excited about this. What I would say though is that given the level of wealth at City you would expect them to hire someone who can help them flout the rules legally.

If it wasn’t City or Chelsea then it would be someone else outspending everyone, this will continue until the end of time with different clubs. We need to get over it or impose caps.

Kudos to the OP that's a brave title for an article at a time when City lawyers are taking a more aggressive attitude to these kind of remarks

So how does that damage Spurs given that you were adequately compensated for losing one of your top players?

No point in arguing with a fan that thinks all is fine if you are 'adequately compensated' and cannot see it damages all squads that operate within their legal and fair boundaries without an army of hugely expensive lawyers who spend their waking hours looking for loopholes and where none exist, change the rules to suit them. City were fined £49m most of which was suspended. New evidence appears to show yet more cheating but no doubt, someone, somewhere will be adequately compensated and it will all go away.

Well for me anyway, the hate for Liverpool, is just ‘football hate’.
Nothing sinister...ish<Erm>, just never want them to win is all.

Yes I know Liverpool do it the right way, respect is there. But I want them to lose. Every time.
That’s the rivalry.
Some do take it far with how they express it.
But this thing doing the rounds about how disgraceful it is for fans not wanting Liverpool to win is confusing for me.

I’m not one of those that can just shrug my shoulders and applaud a Liverpool win. Respect is one thing, but I feel pain every time when it happens. There is no situation where I want Liverpool to win and be cool with it.
With City, it’s just annoying... ok, very annoying, but we know how they came to be, so it’s easier to dismiss their success. If Liverpool had won it, I’d imagine, I’d be like Thanos in ‘Infinity War’ at the end, just me, all alone on a farm staring off into the distance.
‘Did they win?’
‘Yes’
‘What did it cost?’
‘Everything’...

??? The accusation is the airline owned by the Sheikh actually only paid a small portion of the sponsorship deal with the rest coming from the financial organ that controls City's books? This was recently published in full by the NY Times. MY previous comment is valid. If City cannot find a fair through the FFP rules it cheats. What part don't I have a clue about?

Not now spurs smashed you and knocked you out
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It happens in cup competition.
Hope you beat Liverpool in the final though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Interesting definition of 'smashed' though
