Scouting players, in the sense of sending scouts to watch them, and scouting the market, in the sense of searching the market, are quite clearly two different things. English isn’t your first language so I can forgive you any confusion. I think everyone else understood the difference, apart from RDD but he’s incredibly thick.

He’s said they are scouting the market. That doesn’t mean they are still scouting the players - especially as the season is still finished. RDD is a bit thick, though.

Are you really finding it this difficult to understand the difference between your club scouts watching players and searching (scouting) for players in the transfer market? It’s a throw away comment from the coach, ffs.

Is this still going on?

Scouting the market is looking for players that may be of use to the club. Scouting the identified players is then doing it in a bit more depth.

It's like deciding you fancy an Indian for tea and then, once that decision is made, deciding which is the best restaurant to go to.

No. Scouting the market means seeing who is available. Scouting players means you look at the players in more detail, checking out their attributes, strengths, weaknesses etc.
I think this has been explained to you by at least three different posters now.

Jesus wept. Scouting the market for the right players that might or do become available. This ain't hard. Serious question: is English your first language? It isn't mine, and I understand it. It's been explained simply enough a child would understand.

Scouting has always meant to watch and monitor players.

It has nothing to do with if a player is available or not. That's for the execs to negotiate.
