People are predicting 2020, but backwards compatibility is confirmed, PSVR will also work

Honestly I am thinking that maybe there wont be ps5 games, there will just be playstation games and there will be a minimum version of your PS that can play it as now we have seen its confirmed now more then ever that consoles are "just" PCs. Lets see - really looking forward to this gen I think!
Everything about this console seems too good to be true. They are definitely creating a next gen feeling about this one.

I think you are right Simon, in my mind PS5 will be the last generation of traditional console gaming. The future will be a cloud streaming service. For that reason it will arguably be one of the most important consoles in Sony history,
I'm pretty sure I read that PS4 and PS5 gamers will be able to play games together, Which should make for an easy transition.
My personal favourite is PSVR compatibility with PS5.
Next gen is going to be one hell of a send off to console gaming, if this truly is the end.
Backwards compatibility for me would be a massive selling point. Atm I have a ps2, 3 and 4 set up and to just have one box would be great although maybe they'll obly include PS4.
Will my PS4 downloaded games be playable on the ps5 ?
Really important for me as the vast majority of my game collection on the PS4 is downloaded games. I've only got about three or four discs now in fact.
Haven't found a definite answer to this question online so if anyone can answer would be appreciated.
I'm in the same situation Superb. I can't say for sure, but I can't see anyway it would make sense for them not to be available.
I would say a definite yes, unless Sony state otherwise. Put it this way I'm not worried.
