It should be very interesting.
Firstly I will miss the Championship and the incredible excitement which seems to pop up every game.
However it’s exciting to be back and hopefully competitive in the top flight.
Hopefully we can sign a few of the loan players and seeing us release 8 players suggest plans are already in place.
A lot of rumours already circulating about this player and that, but in Deano we trust.

Potentially exciting times for us, Purslow sounds incredibly impressive and seems to have the know-how to get this Villa team competing again. With him, Dean as manager, Jack as captain, and ambitious owners with the wealth to back the team we're in a good place.
We need to get Mings and El Ghazi signed (£20mil), Hause too (cheap, good squad option), and I would probably pay £25mil for Abraham even if he isn't yet proven at this level (though it is a risk). Tuanzebe may go back to United but we may get him on another loan. Guilbert coming in at RB will hopefully be good business. That sets us back about £50mil but we still need a few more players - three starters (DM, RW, LB) and a few more squad players.
I think the players that left was right, even Whelan who is a great pro but we need to be aiming higher in the PL. Pretty sure our staff know what they're doing and I'm excited to see who we bring in as the summer goes on.

A fair few of the oldies left, surprised at a couple tho
Hutton, Jedinak, Whelan, Adomah, De Laet, Elphick, Richards and Bunn along with the five loanees leaving this is a huge summer
Gary Cahill on a free? I’d take him and Mings for CB
Gary Gardner and 4m for Jota seems a done deal
It is good to be back I guess in the Premier league and it is exciting.
However fans will have to for a bit accept we are in with 12/13 others for a relegation fight, god forsake we get a points deduction
We seem to have a lot going for us so may be good but wait and see.
Like CDD I am glad to be back but will miss the champo as for me although level lower it is streets above for regular entertainment and a level playing field.
I am old fashioned but still think our European Cup win was a massive achievement under the then rules and that the play offs shouldn't be necessary as the best go up....so we were lucky.
I would like to see Mings Maupay Lolley Cahill and a left back as priority but lets see.

Richards and McCormack finally gone
At last, the things which have been poisoning the club for many a long year have finally been cleared. The club is reborn!
Can't see us going for Cahill. Doesn't fit the profile the club is looking for. I'm hoping for some gems from abroad.
Gardner <-> Jota confirmed. Where's the rest
not seen much of this Jota fella for obvs reasons, any good?
Apparently Villa confirm they will take up option on Hause from Wolves. I have been quite impressed with him. Personal terms to be agreed.
Not seen a lot of Jota.
surely Hause is just being brought in for back up, don't think he is a good enough standard to play week in week out v the big boys
but then for £3m cant be bad
Wesley from Brugge signs for 22m subject to international clearance

Don’t know anything really about big Wes ????
Only a year ago we couldn’t pay a tax bill, now breaking transfer records. It’s s funny old game 😳
Wesley seems to be highly thought of. And there's another Brugges striker we're interested in.
Marvelous Nakamba
He is a CM from Brugge not a CF
My mistake. Just had a quick glance at the news when I was away on holiday and obviously misread it.
Halfway there? Five signings so far, all good ones. Hause, Wesley, El Ghazi, Jota, Targett.
But we still have big gaps. Mings is close to being essential, and maybe another CB as well. We've nobody for the DM role. At least one more winger is essential and maybe another striker.
Longer it goes on the more nervous it gets
Still early days, think a DM, CM, Mings, CB and a versatile forward
Still need rid of Tshibola & Lansbury imo and one of Nylad/Kalinic
Notice DS hasn't shipped out Tishbola. Maybe he thinks he can do something with him. He at least wants a longer look at him.
he was decent at Kilmarnock last season, no more, not good enough imo
Sounds like Cahill coming home?
