“It all depends on Daniel Levy and there has to be another club too. Or I will sit down myself at the table and negotiate a new contract. You can’t set a date yourself. There aren’t many boxes that Tottenham don’t tick so if I have to move away, it would have to be a step up.”
Eriksen was asked whether he would seek to run down his contract. “That is difficult to say,” he replied. “It depends on the possibilities. If there are no exciting offers why shouldn’t I stay at Tottenham? If I then sign a new contract depends on the conditions.”
This doesn’t seem like he’s completely ruling out staying. He’s just fishing to see who else might want him.
Daniel Levy asking for 130 mill
Will be lucky to get 50/60 mill I reckon.
As said in the article below, just don't know where he is going to go.
Or is he... he's saying he is definitely open to a move. But that also he wouldn't mind staying.
I don't think you say that unless you're pretty sure you want to go.
“I feel that I am at a stage of my career where I would like to try something new,” Eriksen told the Danish newspaper, Ekstra Bladet. “I have the deepest respect for everything that is happening at Tottenham and it would not be something negative to stay. But I have also said that I would like to try something new.
“I hope that something will be decided this summer. That is the plan. In football you never know when there could be a decision like that. It could be at any point. The best thing is always for it to happen quickly but in football things take time.”
“Real Madrid is a step up but then it would take Real Madrid picking up the phone and making contact with Tottenham and say that they want Christian,” Eriksen said. “And that they haven’t done as far as I know.

"It all depends on Daniel Levy"
Well you're absolutely facked then Christian
Sounds like he'll only go to a bigger club.
So there's only Barca, RM, PSG, Juve and Bayern that'd be attractive to him...
Barca don't need him. RM look like they'll get Hazard and signed another attacking player yesterday. Can't really see him at PSG or Bayern either.

Maybe Juve? I thik he said he wanted to play in Spain though
Can't see him going to Germany.
facking sell him now and get players in Levy u cuuuuunt
I would love eriksen to stay but it does seem like we’ve come to a end now.
Team news refreshing and looks like he does too
He's a good player it'd be wise to try and keep him. i'd live him at liverpool if he committed to up his workrate and defensive nous. Other than that he's brilliant. £100m player these days.....so probably half that if he's only got a year left
He hasn't looked the same player for the last couple of months, but probably just a dip in form. Quality on his day

His work rate has been exceptional. I think there were a couple of seasons where Eriksen was the player that covered the most ground...can't be sure but definitely in the top 5 players covering the most ground.
He just seems lack lustre since the turn of the year because I think his heart isn't in it anymore.
To be honest I am fed up with our players messing about, saying they may stay, they may go. The club should have sorted out whether they are staying or going the day after the Prem finished.
Spurs do not need long lengthy contract negotiotions disrupting the pre season again. They either need to put up or shut up.
The club have to give them all ultimatums, either sign a new contract this week, or you will be transfer listed. End of. They have had more than enough time to decide their futures.
What Eriksen is saying is what Poch is saying too?
If the next chapter in Spurs history is not about taking the club to the next level, which requires some investment as resources needs refershing, then what is their to keep them at the club?
Both of them have ambitions and if Spurs don't match their ambitions, they have every right to find clubs that have ambitions
It is up to the board and Levy to make that investment that would take the club to the next level

Respect to him for his honesty. He's been here for 6 years at a reduced wage to similar players and has only ever been respectful of the club and fans.

And Sarri, he can't wait to get out of that shambles of a club quick enough.
Can't see him leaving which is a shame for him, hasn't kicked on and become a world class player many predicted early in his career. Probably peaked at spurs and now needs a new challenge
Can't see even 60m if he's only got a year left. If he's smart he'll stay till Jan then most clubs will be in for him around the 35m mark or even ride it out for a massive signing on fee
You've let this drag on too long for a vital player in your set up
we knew this was the case. quality player on his day but has played like man who knew he was leaving this season.
was really poor in the CL final i thought... which should have been his stage... would have been great for him to leave holding the CL aloft.. but oh well.
Over to Levy.. wonder how much he can get
