I guess you meant to say first half. Yeah we were doing fine. There was a weird first 5 minutes of the second half where Hojbjerg appeared to be injured, hobbled off while everyone warmed up (Skipp, Sarr) then he came back on.. it all seemed a bit of a shambles and caused confusion. IIRC their goal came soon after Hojbjerg came back on for the second time after changing his boot.

IMO we should've just hooked him. After the goal the game opened up and we definitely let them have a few too many chances. Son stayed on even though he was useless and Royal regressed back to doing absolutely nothing after a promising first half hour or so.

I don't mind the tactics but Conte sitting on his hands when the game had clearly shifted away from us annoyed me. Yeah there's only so much he can do but you have to do something..

I actually think all that Hojbjerg f*nnying around cost the team it’s focus for the second half

Lloris played well 1st half. It's only when we started playing back to him too much in the 2nd half that he started making mistakes.

So that's a fraction under £70m spent, from an alleged war chest of £150 plus funds from players sold which amounts to about £32m.

So Spurs still have £112m still in the pot.

Sorry, but given we have had a fair few months to assess areas needing improvement and act upon, why do we still need a better RWB, an attacking MF and a quality CB ??

To be honest, made more irritating when you see the likes of West Ham spending nearly £180m. With the best will in the world, in what universe is their spending power, financial position, ongoing revenue streams better than ours ? we are in the CL ffs, that alone should get us minimum £50m

I get some clubs are clearly panic buying, but come on, we want to compete, we clearly have the funds available, and we have this super duper recruitment team. So what have Spurs been doing for the last month or so ?

Not wishing to sound ungrateful or unrealistic, but have to say, looking at the transfer window now it is nearly done, I am disappointed with how many key areas we still need to fill, with the money just sitting there unused.

Spurs never said the £150m is for transfers.

Come in guys, the £150m was never a war chest. There wasn’t even any smoke screens over this - it was investment into the club to be used in a number of ways.

There’s nothing to say we were only going to spend £1m this summer, or £300m.

People need to give their head a wobble if they’re fixated on the idea that £150m was specifically to be fully blown on transfers.
