Even just from the 2 mins I just watched on YouTube it's obvious he's an attacking mid. Seems relatively tall and strong, quickish, looks direct and likes to take a man on. Doesn't look like a DM at all so this is either an Eriksen replacement or Mourinho saying fack you to Lo Celso (honestly wouldn't be surprised if he did that purely to prove some sort of weird point because Lo Celso was Pochettino's player not his - he has previous for that level of pettiness)

Definitely looks like the sort who will have issues adapting to the Prem too - all the better passes and shots on that brief video were from acres of space the likes of which you just don't get in the Prem.

Still he's young and clearly has talent. I would just be gutted if he got chances at the expense of Lo Celso who I genuinely rate.

And yeah, doesn't solve the DM issue at all

Yeah this is the only way for it to make sense imo because otherwise it's a weird transfer

After his second half performance today I'd like to see Winks in a 3 man midfield with Ndombele and lo celso tbf

Feel like it won't be the answer and we'll need a 6 tho but worth a go

Looks more like an Eriksen replacement to me. This guy doesn't look like a #6. Definitely an 8 or even 10 judging by the positions he was taking up in that video (watching a bit more now).

I'll happily defer to those who have seen him play more, mind you. I'm basing this all on a highlights video

Him and eriksen in a double pivot was laughable selection. Lamela and GLC had to be starting with the options we have.

It's mad isn't it, when something is so obvious and basic to a layperson yet managers who get paid facking millions can't spot that sort of thing

Eriksen and Dele both better off the striker and playing for too deep this season.

Obviously eriksen shouldn't be playing but I would drop dele too

What a pointless facking signing then, since Mourinho is determined to play 4231 and keep Alli in the team and Alli can't play in a 433 since he's basically a striker

Think jose just saw his size and therefore wanted him

Getting young players in is always appreciated but here I just dont see why we're getting this one
